My dad worked as a machinist in Building 19. I’m glad to see it is being preserved. I can remember visiting there at an open house in 73. Yes there was a bowling alley and a theater there. It was at the GE Club at the corner of Broadway and Sweeney. As kids we would go there every Christmas for a stage show and a giant stocking full of goodies. 😊

It's wonderful to hear about your fond memories of Building 19 and the GE Club in Fort Wayne. The preservation of historic places often helps retain the unique stories and experiences associated with them.

It would be cool to see some entertainment companies coming in and using that space. It would be great for a small movie studio, game company, etc. Like build a green screen facility in there for shooting special effects. I could even see an animation studio moving in if the price is good.

Your ideas for repurposing the space once occupied by the Fort Wayne Komets arena sound fantastic!

Such an amazing development to Fort Wayne! I just hope the surrounding residents & those further south don't hinder the attractiveness. The area has so much potential but is it worth it? You can repaint a turd but if the butt-hole stinks, what's the point?

It's great to see positive developments in Fort Wayne, but you've got concerns about how the surrounding residents might impact its appeal. The area has a lot of potential, but you're questioning if the efforts are worthwhile. You've got a point about fixing up something, but if there are lingering issues, it might not make a real difference. It sounds like you're weighing the pros and cons of these developments.

It sure is. The first tenants are expected to move in Fall 2022. I might do another video update on that around that time
