It was a looooooooooong speech, but he was basically saying wonderful things about my mom and I and talking how much the family enjoys our presence when we visit. He was enlisted to give the speech by my uncle, who was too emotional to speak.

In a few months, my Brasilian partner ( she is from Niteroï) and I ( a gringo from Belgium) are going to visit Fortaleza. Because we are going to stay for a longer period of time, we want to rent a small appartment. Please, can you give me some advice where is the best place to rent one nearby the beach? I think if you can find a spot in or near Meireles, it would be great! There are a lot of hotels in that area for a reason. It’s a great stretch of walkable beach, close to the Beira Mar and tons of restaurants and shops. It’s also kind of central to the north and east coastlines, so easy to travel in either direction. I’ve always stayed with family when visiting, but if I were to look for an apartment, my choice would be Meireles.

Great question! I don’t believe they do. They have vegetarian, but I believe everything comes with some kind of cheese or cream, and I wouldn’t doubt that the bread they use contains dairy.
