I remember that two of Donna’s daughters did an interview and they said they would be open to a biopic, they just need to find the right people to tell their mother’s story. You're right, I don't want it to be similar to Aaliyah or Bob Marley in terms of it not being good.

I just couldn’t take this film seriously…Mea who’s a six figure lawyer that’s supposed to come as off strong and intelligent falls into lust with an alleged murderer because he’s attractive and her marriage is failing? Zyair comes off as pretty creepy even when he hits on Mea. Bruh that’s your lawyer. She’s supposed to help get you off criminal charges. not get you off. Mea should’ve quit when she came to the conclusion that he’s into her. Not all lawyers of mea’s caliber are gonna shit where they eat. Especially with the type of money she seems to make. You get disrespected and nearly killed by your in-laws, jobless husband, and you’re a successful black female attorney? Ain’t no way you didn’t peep this behavior prior. She was better off divorcing Kal, dropping Zyair’s case, and starting all over. It’s basically Tyler Perry’s temptation but with a boneless murder mystery thrown in. At least Temptation had some consistency. You can’t always get away with making movies with plots and scripts that don’t make sense because you’re the creator😑

I hated that they made Kelly's character so weak? I though her character was going to be a boss that didn't take shit from anyone. Yet, she took shit from everyone. Also this movie had way too many plot holes and loose-ends. 1.They never explained how the Mea's sister-in-law met the Zahir and ended up having an affair or how her husband found out. 2. They never explained how the brother-in-law convinced Hydie to go along with the plan. 3. Never explained what happened to Hydie after it was discovered she was still alive. 4. Whose blood and skull fragments were is found in the apartment since we found out Hydie was still alive. 5. Mea showed ZERO interest in her husband most of the movie. She even planned to go to the DR with Zahir. But after she cheated, all of a sudden she started acting like she cared about her relationship. 6. They never discussed that sex dungeon they went too. It like they forgot it even happened. 7. Who took that picture of the husband and the friend going into the hotel room together and who sent it to Mea's partner. It's too many things to list. I personally believe Kelly has grown as an actress, and thats despite the terrible script. * High profile lawyer working from a suspected Murderer's apartment? *successful defence attorney getting pushed around by her in-laws? * Blushing, being tempted and having sex with a man she just watched have sex with a prostitute? He really made her appear weak and irresponsible. This was a complete disconnect from the character traits a successful defence attorney should've cultivated over the years

TP is just disrespectful regarding the intelligence of his viewers. My lady and I sipped wine and laughed at his egregiously lazy writing. The psycho-killer family reveal was simply dumb. Trevante Rhodes was high as a kite while he sleepwalked and mumbled through his scenes. RonReaco Lee seemed to be the only professional actor in the movie. Kelly is a better actress than Beyonce but her Botox facial expressions in every scene (regardless of the circumstances) were hilarious. We had fun with this flick and all I can say is TP definitely hates women and loves him some mensss… 😂🤣😂

There was literally SO much wrong with this film but I must say that despite it being RIDICULOUS, I was lowkey entertained lol Cons/questions/holes: 1. whose skull fragments and blood were on the paintings if not Hydie’s? 2. Why in TF would 911 call Kyle back, like BFFR! 3. The way Kyle flew out that car reminded me of Issa Rae shooting Elijah in the trash can and had me CACKLING. 4. Mea did all that discussion about being private then went riding on a motorcycle IN PUBLIC with her client. Huh?!? 5. Where was that money Mea was paying going if not to the mother’s medical bills? 6. Why TF did Charisse just stand there as they debated who would st@b her? 7. All it took to get away from Mea was Hydie grabbing some cleaner and spraying it in her direction 🥴I could literally go on and on but I’ll just stop here lol
@mochalily37359 ай бұрын
GIRL! The plot holes were crazy. I too would like to know whose blood and skull fragments were found at the crime scene. They said it match the DNA profile for Heidi but how did they get her DNA profile if she was missing? They obviously didn’t have her in their system because she was under a false identity. Did they murder some random women in his apartment, hide the body and then falsify DNA records to say Heidi’s name instead of the real victim? How did they explain why she was in the system to be matched in the first place? Why was that man more worried about getting Mea in the sheets than staying off death row? Why did they say Kal didn’t know about the plan when he actually knew?! Why didn’t her “best friend” say ANYTHING? What happens to the kids? Did Charlise survive? Does Mea still have a job? Cause why was she wearing that weak disguise at the end?! 😂😂

There were a lot of unanswered questions for this movie. The only part that slightly saved this movie is the s*x paint scene…that’s it. Mea should’ve told it everything about her crooked husband. To be a part of a family that doesn’t like you is wild. And it wouldn’t be a Tyler Perry film if the character with sense abandons their good sense.
