I don't think Midas turned shadow, here's why, During the doomsday event Midas would've had to escape the loop because if he didn't we wouldn't have the other Midas skins which are snapshots according to the fact that the other jonesys are and that if there are more than one of the same skin that aren't story related they are snapshots most likely, so if he did escape during the event then shadow Midas was the first snapshot.

There was no real ghost and shadow, both factions were working together behind the scenes. They all worked for Midas the ghost vs shadow was just to distract the imagined order from seeing his real plan which was to break the loop.

Chapter 2 was my favourite! Even though C2S1 seemingly went on forever, that island's early stages were so much fun, and it was a great time in my life too. C2S2 was undoubtedly the best season in the game in my opinion... not to mention that I'm one of the crazy 1% that really loved C2S3. I'm so glad to see so much of it coming back! And honestly, the layout of C5, with so many high mountains and terrain changes, really reminds me of C2 in a way. I'm loving this.

There's an extreme amount of chapter 2 map references as a whole which I like to think points in the direction that this is an alternate timeline chapter 2 following the black hole/big bang. Edit: I'm so happy Rainbow Rentals is back, it was basically where I'd drop in Ch 2 for challenges

@@Bukwheatnah it’s still a reboot, I just think the Chapter 4 props are fun references. They were probably brought in by the Time Machine. Wouldn’t be the first time there have been been references to previous chapters. I think they’re just props that have been recovered from the Big Bang.

I wonder if they bring back sloane and give her the sands power she had prior maybe to help the zero point out once its in danger or to help jones out etc? Jones also is older in this then he was in Chapter 3 even so maybe while big bang happened got altered kind of like how most of the battle pass is altered versions of another character. The one I question the most is if the Fencer is actually the Herald's alternate self. Probably not right but it makes sense from looking at the past skins that have had the fencing style equipment has been Herald Serene and a few others.

I also noticed that another one of the posters in Ruined Reels says “The Oddysey Six”. The poster looks like Olympus. Could there be six Greek deities/gods? I also think a Greek themed season is inevitable at this point. Many Greek references on the map, Midas being from Greek mythology, a reboot really gave us cosmetics that are recolors of Oro’s cosmetics (he has a new survey skin too), and that one survey in general with all of the Greek themed skins. This is an alternate Chapter 2, however I don’t think the stories are gonna be parallel. It’s already different enough even with the references. The Chapter 4 stuff probably isn’t relevant and are just stuff that were recovered after the Big Bang. We probably won’t see the same events as Chapter 2 since the loop has been broken, so history will not repeat itself. I’m looking forward to seeing what this chapter brings and hopefully it delivers.

Fun fact: this chapter takes place immediately before chapter 2 and after chapter 1. It is likely c2s1 is currently happening alongside c5s1. Season OG #2 may occur at the end of this chapter, as the amount of c2 references is insane

It's kinda cool that Season OG mirrored Season 1 and that a lot of Season 5 stuff is mirroring Season 2. I wonder if going back and looking at the Chapter 2 Season 1 Map would have a lot of parallels to the current map. It's also kinda cool how both: Aquaman 2 is coming out and how Aquaman was the Secret skin of Chapter 2 Season 3 Deadpool 3 is eventually coming out and Deadpool was the secret skin of Chapter 2 Season 2.

after watching your video and taking a hard look at the battle pass I have come to a stark realization that the rebirth of realities has reset more than we think, EVERY skin in the battle pass correlates with a skin from the chapter 2 season 2 battle pass... Agent Peely, is represented by vengeance Jones... Brutus is represented by solid snake... T N Tina is represented by the Phoenix woman at the end of the pass (idk remember her name).... Meowsucles is represented by Oscar the fancy tiger... Skye is represented by the first skin we get her name is Hope... Deadpool is represented by Peter Griffin (they both cannotically break the 4th wall)... That leaves Midas... Or should I say Montague (they guy is a diamond version of Midas!) So in other words, I believe you are correct with your assumptions about the connection to chapter 2 season 2... But I don't think we will see the return...they are already here!

So, about the "Midas" house- you'll notice that most of the props there are specifically Chapter 4 related. There's also a Kado Thorne painting over the bed. I don't wanna rain on your parade, but I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be Kado Thorne's place. I'm sure Midas is still alive, because there are just a lot of references to Chapter 2 Season 2 this season, but I'm 99% sure that house isn't where he's hiding. Plus, Kado Thorne had Midas' hand on display in one of his vaults, so while that chair is Midas', it's well within the realm of possibility that it's just one of Kado Thorne's many stolen objects.

Hey the prevalent theory of the event is the big bang actually rebooted the timeline we are back before the chapter 1 island even it remains to be seen if events will play out similarly so with midas it's possible even though he did succeed escaping the loop he's willingly returned now that the zero point and any major threats are gone and he now seeks to take the society for himself and he'll probably have a vendetta against jones for trying to wash him out since in the legend midas was destroyed by water

Midas kind of did get shown as getting out, I mean 1st we had a few moments out of the loop, where was he? what if he was just out, and 2nd, he was INSANTLY switched to shadow after the event ended while before he was neutral. I think that was the moment he was just a snapshot and no longer the man in charge. mainly because it was a different faction, technically Midas's faction was his own, whatever it was called, probably just called "The Golden touch" or something but you get the point. great video, so many secrets on the map that would take so long to find, this map is HUGE!
