When I played this song with my controller on xbox I nearly had heart palpitations trying to do the bass. The lead is surprisingly easy.

Very interesting how they charted lead here. I was expecting a lot more of tapping the same note with pull-offs sprinkled in, but I guess alt-tapping does make a more fun chart overall

That and it’s also just a lot more playable on a mechanic where the button needs to be released before replaying the same note. By moving between notes, one can be released while the other is being pressed, effectively halving the speed each note lane needs to cycle from idle (released) to triggered and back to idle. I’d suspect the instrument mode chart will have a lot less moving around, since the strum bar is responsible for actually triggering notes and can be actuated a lot faster than trying to press and release the same button many times in quick succession (for us mere mortals, anyway).
