Have you considered the ALTER EGO theory? Remember how in Season 1 of Chapter 2 we had this theme of equal and opposite characters from opposing factions fighting for something? What if Montague and Oscar are the alter egos of Midas and Meowscles? Perhaps this could apply to some of the other characters as well. With the idea that Shadow is the Society and Ghost is the Underground, the new characters may be like the old ones but with swapped factions. Skye was Ghost just like Midas and Meowscles, so maybe her alter ego is Valeria. TNTina was Shadow, so perhaps she is Hope from the Underground. This could be a bit of a stretch, but it's something I came up with.

Montague has 8 letters too. All jokes aside, I believe Midas is more likely related, if not a reincarnated version of Oro. Oro in Spanish translates to ' gold'. Last Chapter, Kado Thorne ( however you spell it) had Oro's head as a collectible. Is there a correlation? Could be. As it pertains to the Floor is Lava mode, streamers were screaming week in and week out that there was a volcano going to hit Mega City. If you go to the Grand Glacier Hotel, the glacier just South of it looks like a wide open space with a couple of chests on it. The mountains around it look to be curated well, but I'd bet before this chapter is over, that glacier is going to melt, explode, whatever. If I were a betting man, that would be my first choice for a spot on the map that gets torn to shreds. Is it Midas related? Well, Montague's hotel is right next to it. We shall see.

I think people are forgetting that the Time Machine messed things up and that the new map is supposed to be chapter 2’s island but messed up because of the Time Machine, so I think that Montague is Midas but in this alternative timeline, not an alternate reality, an alternate timeline, and in this alternate timeline Midas never got the Golden Touch from Oro but he still wanted power so he instead took the Diamond Relic, and maybe Montague is Midas’s real name and Midas only adopted the name Midas because of the legend of Midas. Edit: also this probably means that Oscar is the alternate timeline’s Meowscles.

Well achthually... I got nuffin xD I see the possibility of midas and montague being related. Both characters theme are about precious metals/minerals and both love fine items. The scars could have been from the same creature injuring them both with midas losing an eye and monty with slight scars (if it isnt just a fashion choice) As for marigold if i remember correctly marigold is just midas from a different multiverse but they do share a really good connection (im not sure atm but her pickaxe has a description that she got them from midas as a gift) As for jules she is still the cannon daughter.

I think your right, except for the jealousy part. It might have something to do with it, but I think Midas and Montague will fight for Peely, considering in Chapter 2 Season 2 Midas had a whole group of agents including Brutus, Meowceles, and AGENT PEELY. Not to mention items that the characters of that season had are on an island, like Brutus' helmet, or Meowceles ball of yarn. Midas and the Chapter 2 Season 2 crew are gonna rescue Peely, and might go as far as to help Jones too, kinda like a "The enemy of my enemy is my freind." thing. (Also I have no idea where Gear Specialist Maya comes into play, but I think Fortnite forgot about her anyway lol)

Then being brother makes more sense. Also the relic stuff probably has been gone back more now. So probably Midas has one as it makes sense. Probably from the ice kings collection releasing the relics he was protecting. Maybe the floor is lava is due to the prisoner and his chains maybe. Overall the prisoner and ice king could finally return with the relic stuff. Even timeline matches up as maybe the castles destruction released some of the relics like maybe Midas got the golden touch relic and chaos agent got one that made him goop. It would match up. Also chaos agent could be the one who wanted peely kidnapped and wanted to exiriment on him. He did create the sludge army and alter so maybe he wants peely to try and make clones that work for the society. It might even be a way to find out how rifts work and to harness their power to teleport. The reason is because peely was created by jonsey and a bannana going through a rift. They could be trying to Hermes’s the power to teletport to the other dimensions like rocket racing and Lego. The reason why is because I believe the zero point split into shards that went to them. Think of the collect the shards part of anomalies in save the world. You destroy it and then collect the 4 shards. So maybe if they collect them the zero point will be restored and rifts will help speed it up. The reason I focus on chaos agent is because if you remember the story of chapter 2 season 1 he was the focal point of it. I think he is some sort of goop creature that can’t truly be killed as he once was a man but found a relic like Midas but it transformed him. Maybe the ice king and jonsey will team up to collect the relics to make sure destruction won’t happen due to them. Even characters like the prisoner can be on their side with the seven as I could see the prisoners relic corrupting his mind and was due to the devourer. Also the cube queen might have a relic as the ice king used a shard from the cube to make the island all snow. Also other characters like blackheart could be characters with relics being his hook as it can cause a rift in all groups. So the underground people collect relics to try and stop the society but some are fused to people making them not able to lose them. This can lead to a war happening and both side are people with relics with both having collected them and some being taken. Imagine if in the war the henchmen return and they are on the side of the society as even though the seven one and io would be against their original faction they would be with shadow and ghost as they were abandoned and made a friendship with the members of the other side and maybe causes a slight rift as they are mad they were just grunts and in the society they are treated as generals essentially.

Chapter 1 ended with the blackhole event, and so did OG Fortnite. They led to chapter 2 and chapter 5, chapter 5 is just like chapter 2 (there are a lot of similarities in pretty much everything but the map itself) This just shows that Montage is most likely different reality Midas and there are a lot more similarities then he pointed out in the video. Examples: Bosses, Society, Montage of course, and more. For all we know this island has a lot of mysteries and secrets underground.

There is also a skin that was in the chapter 4 season 3 battlepass that was apart of the "Intreprid engines" set which is Jules set. Ok so what i think is not that good so yeah When midas was *eaten* by that shark motgal guy was born and wanted revenge he stole the diamond relike to gain the same abilities as Midas his true for haven't been unlocked yet so waile waiting he cut his hair eyebrows extra im guessing that next season he will have unlocked his full power. In my opinion, I think that he's kidnapped peely because he used to work with Midas, Peely used to be agent peely, that way Montague can find midas remake the device event but better to hopefully push the storm and the sunami away for good, but that would leave a question how would fortnite be fortnite without the storm? I think that's when the underground would step in causing an all out war while midas and Montague are trying to push back the storm. We'd have to sneak around past guards disabling the device before it can finish. Or maybe jonsey will try to get access to the zero and configure it to make a last ditch effort before its all over... Such as storm sickness remember that? I think jonesy will evolve not only the zero point but also the storm as we know it.
