I decided to benchmark the new OG Fortnite game mode with a $50 Dell OptiPlex PC. It was even able to play on DX11 Medium settings! 30fps average of course lol Also I was capped at 60hz for some reason🫠🫠🫠

The optmizations I did to this $50 pc were: 1. Power mode set to High Performance 2. Disabled Background apps 3. Disabled game bar and game capture 4. Every time I opened FN I made it as a high priority in the task manager. 5. I lowered the 3D res to 50% 6. I overclocked the gpu. Stock core clock speed: 780 Overclocked to 950 MHz Honestly I only noticed like an extra 4fps in medium settings. But here are my optimizations tips for a stronger pc 1. Enable XMP/DOCP in your bios. This will make the ram run at a faster speed and can improve fps. (VERY IMPORTANT) 2. Enable 4G Decoding (VERY IMPORTANT) 3. Turn on Resizable Bar (VERY IMPORTANT) 4. Disable unwanted background apps 5. Dont have to many chrome tabs open 6. Dont wear animated cosmetics 7. Make sure your cpu and gpu temps are below 80 degrees. You can lose performance if your temps are wayy to high 8. Update GPU drivers and window updates 9. Set power mode to high performance 10. Make sure you don't have steam running in the background, even if its close check the bottom right and close it 11. Set fortnite as a high priority task in the task manager. (do this every time u open fortnite) 12. Verify FN files in the epic games launcher (3 dots next to fortnite) 13. If you record, lower the bitrate down. I use 1080P 45 Bitrate in geforce (but with a 3060 so maybe try 35 bitrate and see if the quality is decent) 14. If you crash and get really bad drops like sometimes to 40 fps randomly on low settings then one of your pc parts could be going bad. Most likely the ram. 15. Use DLSS Balanced or TSR and turn of vsync 16. Overclocking gpu and cpu can help a bit. 17. Adding more ram can help 18. I've just odered some pc parts, came down to around 251 usd. 12100f, H610, 1x8gb of ram(Only have one coupon for 1 stick), RX 580/570 4gb (prolly gonna make a trip downtown for it at a local store) 512gb nvme, standard 550w psu. They're going to be arrived this weekend

That's 1 factor. This Saturday i will post the updated $50 Fortnite benchmarks. (BR and Reload) Try these tips Set Windows Power Plan to High Performance Don’t wear animated cosmetics, keep it simple Cap your fps to let’s say 120 or 60 For performance mode play on 50-70% 3D Res Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date and your window updates Make sure your pc temperatures are good. For the GPU and CPU anything below 78 degrees is fine. Make sure your pc doesn’t have extreme dust. Close all your tabs and disable unwanted background apps Set Fortnite as a high priority task in the task manager every time you play Fortnite. Make sure you dont have vsync enabled, this can lower your fps by alot Make sure your storage isn't filled up all the way. Also since its a new FN season, it may not be optimized to much by epic so in about 2-3 weeks it should feel a bit better

Brother, I have a question about the AMD software for this graphics card. In performance, there is an option called tuning that allows me to increase the speed of the GPU and VRAM, but I don't know whether to increase it or not because I don't want to damage my graphics card. Could you please explain this to me? I don't know what benefits it gives or the consequences, and I can't find anything about it.

so tuning is basically overclocking in the amd software, You wont notice a huge performance boost if your playing on low settings. You will notice an fps boost if u play on high settings. In this vid I was able to play on medium settings and the average fps was around 29-30. I overclocked the card in msi afterburner and I was able to get like a 3-4fps increase. Without overclocking I would get an avg of 25-27 fps. I overclocked the core to 950mhz and memory to 1200mhz. I had to boost the fan speed of the gpu to 80% to prevent overheating. Overclocking makes your gpu hotter and if you boost the fan speed it will make the pc louder.

try these tips (This is what I did) 1. Lower 3D res to 50-70% on performance mode 2. Don't wear animated cosmetics (keep skin, pickaxe, back bling simple) 3. Set power plan to High Performance in the window power settings 4. Set fortnite as a high priority task in the task manager 5. Verify fortnite files in the epic games launcher 6. Disable background apps and close all tabs 7. Update all window and gpu drivers 8. Dont install save the world, high texture packs and dx12 9. Make sure your gpu and cpu arent to high in temperatures 10. I also added an extra stick of ram which can help keep fps more stable by a little bit. 11. Disable recordings in the radeon software. 12. You can overclock your gpu by a bit to get like a 5 extra fps increse but try these tips first. I will test this 450optiplex and the $100 optiplex with the new FN season this upcoming week. I heard windows 11 helps with fps for lower end builds, so i will test this to see if its ture.

Yea adding an extra stick of ram can help with fps a bit. 16GB is starting to become the new must for pc ram. I was nearly maxing out 8GB in this benchmark. An upgrade you can do that will help is using an ssd. This make load up times wayyy faster than an HDD, buying a GPU that doesn't require a power connector such as an rx560 4gb will be better than the gpu i used in this optiplex. I bought mines on ebay for $37 and I used that card for my $100 dell otpiplex and yea it handles 100fps pretty good. Another gpu that doesn't require a power connector is the gtx 1650.

I mean for $50 you would have to get a gtx 970 or an rx560 or an rx570. Make sure the seller has many stars on ebay. For $50 its a challenge getting a gpu thats above the rx560 and gtx 960 and 970. Try to see the prices on those cards and look at benchmarks.

Try these tips 1. Make sure your cpu isnt overheating 2. Update all window updates 3. Verify fortnite files in the epic games launcher 4. Make sure you have at least 8gb of ram 5. Yea a gpu can help 6. If your on a HDD Drive then it will be extremely slow to load up, an ssd will improve load up times
