All you need is a monitor that supports 120hz so a 144hz monitor will be fine!

I play with mouse and keyboard on the X box and when I play fortnite that I have the pad connected to the X box with the wire it turns off (I think due to inactivity) and the game freezes, and I have to turn the pad back on for it to unlock. how do I remove it? that the pad is always on thank you very much

you should either get a xbox one for 129 dollars or a xbox series s for 300, but I'm just saying xbox one might be the cheapest option but the delay for keyboard and mouse is quite bad and you're stuck on 60 fps, but I guarantee thats better then switch, but the cheapest option for the best performance that's decently cheap is xbox series s at $300 its a little bit higher of a price then a nintendo switch but much better.

If you play keyboard and mouse I would recommend PC, Xbox will always have a problem with delay for keyboard and mouse unless they add a option when they bring out their next console, or if they do.
