Not sure if this should be said or not. Make sure you GPU is in the first Slot on your motherboard because the second and third are usually from my experience performing at a lower bandwidth and limit the performance you are getting from your gpu.

​@@MJC_fr you quite literally open your side panel and make sure the graphics car is in the top pcie slot by visual observation. If it isnt you pull out the card (unplug it then pull it away from board) and put it in the top one.

i couldn't even run 60 fps on my $1400 pc because my settings were so jacked up. Now that I put in your settings and had the cap on 180 it NEVER goes down. I have no game freezes and my game looks SOOOOO clean. This for sure was worth and sub worthy! (TYYYYYY)

You can fix audio issues by just going to audio in game and changing your audio input and changing it back to your default.

try tsr in the anti aliasing settings. After that you could also try the different options like, performance, balanced, quality and native which essentially changes the 3d res. what tsr does is that it renders the game in a lower resolution but kind of upscale it which basically means the game looks better than the resolution that its running at. This also as a consequence gives better fps. I use tsr low with the performance setting.

What a lot of people don't relize is that DirectX12 might work better on their pc. For me, DX12 gives me twice as much fps and does away with stutters compared to performance mode and especially DX11. I have a Radeon 6600 XT, and I'm assuming anyone with a somewhat modern Radeon GPU will have similar results.

Anyone on Intel Arc/AMD Raedeon graphics cards needs to be on the DirectX12 API. Hell, if you’re on a modern graphics card(RTX 20/30/40 series) you might as well be on DX12 too.

Unlike what everybody else is saying, I had massive troubles trying DX12 when I tried it. I have a 3060 TI, a formidable Gpu paired with an equally as much Cpu, a R5 5600x, and my pc felt like it was on life support when trying DX12. I experimented with every DX12 setting in the book and gave it all the time in the world to load the textures and all the other mumbo jumbo and what resulted was once again a stuttery mess. Even so, I am pretty sure that Amd cards have an even tougher time running Fortnite aswell as having slightly worse stability in game, not to say that Amd cards are bad options though. Ever since the new servers update I've quit playing Fortnite competitively, (I live in Canada), so I was looking forward to using higher settings since I know that Fortnite is actually a really good looking game despite what it's known for. Guess I'll have to stick to performance mode for now.

@@eselir7084 idk what you're on about. Everyone is saying you should be on performance mode. If you watch any fortnite optimization video it's what they recommend. Everyone who makes those optimization videos usually have Nvidia gpu's, Performance mode definitely seems to work better on Nvidia.

@@planet_b1ue Did you misread my comment? I never mentioned that performance mode is inferior to DX12? I don't know what you are on about. As I stated in my previous comment, I had major troubles on DX12, not performance mode. I am very aware that performance mode is better than DX12 in terms of fps. I wanted to make my game look more visually stunning for the cost of nothing to me since I only have a 144hz monitor. I want to do this because there is no longer a need to play competitively now since I now have more ping, enough ping to demotivate me from playing Fortnite. If I can't find fun from being a good player, I'll find fun from laughing with my friends. I suggest you reread my comment.

Hey Jerian! If you ever do another fps boost video. I recommend you to talk about CPU core parking. Some cpus have this feature which literally disables your cores, which is useless in desktops. And is only good for power savings. It can a get you an insane fps boost. You can check if you have it on in resource monitor through task manager. And you can disable core parking with softwares

It's called ParkControl and yes, it should be usable on windows 11, correct me if I'm wrong. Edit: Took me 9 different small edits and two complete reworks to finally find something that was horrifically graphic and super offensive according to KZbin.

I do remember this happening to me, I can't completely remember how I fixed it, but I do remember it was a setting in the config files for Fortnite that was causing this issue. That might help you in some way.

hey jerain the performance mode is not the best rendering mode because if you use it u will get lower gpu usage and will get cpu bottleneck so if you use dx12 u will get 90 to 100% gpu usage which will increase your fps and you can put the view distance to low for low meshes . i also recommend using nvidia dlss anti aliasing mode and put it to performance, it will increase your fps and the game will look sharper and better. Thank me later.

I just tried doing what u said and it does look better but the frames are not better and the game just looks weird. Performance mode i get stable 240 and it doesnt look quite as good as dx12 but for overall gameplay and performace the performance mode is better

@@bundleslive if u have a beefy pc like jerian then u still get less fps in perf mode but dx 12 is much more stable in fps and frametime if you turn the frametime in performance mode u will see alot of spikes but in dx 12 it's almost completely flat which is better so u can consistantly get the same frametime to get used to it and also dx12 removed the low gpu usage and overheating cpu issue cuz it has more graphics to render

I knew I wasn't going crazy, I usually run dx12 medium and can get about 250 to 300 fps with dlss in 1440p on my rtx 4080, but if I go to the city it drops down to 110

@@doggofvI use dx12 cause I want my videos to look nice, alse dx12 is better than performance mode IMO because I'm already cpu bound to my 5900x and performance mode would make that much worse,, and it doesn't support multi threaded rendering, and runs off of the same bottleknecked DX11 API. I used to run my 3080ti with driver 496.13 and could get a stable 300 fps in 1440p but now I can't use those drivers on my 4080 because it obviously doesn't support it. These new drivers are really bottleknecked and they performed poorly on my 3080ti and now my 4080 as well

1080p is a bottleneck for a 4090. it’s way to low. bumping the resolution up to 1440p could potentially result in a higher frame rate. This makes the game more gpu bound, versus 1080p or a lower es resulting in higher cpu bound. Since the 4090 is so powerfully utilizing it more could potentionally results in significantly higher fps. (swing the the 4090 is to powerful for really any current cpus,resulting in a cpu bottleneck for the gpu). I hope yo user and consider this Papa Jerian! 😊

I heard there might be Chicago servers being added to the game. Now what they do with the server, I don't know, but I do have an concept that might work rather well. I thought of an idea that if instead of what we have now, contrary to what's been used before, we could have Na North, And Na South servers, Dallas servers being Na South and Chicago being Na North. I live in Canada Ontario, so it would be an absolute game saver if they would add this to the game. I would get quite literally the same exact amount of ping as I would have on Virginia servers, and it would benefit many other people. With this change it might prove effective at not only saving a lot of people of having to quit the game, it might pose as a half fix to the age old complaint of people being too low of ping. Back with Nae and Naw, the servers were buried in the centre of the east coast and the west coast, in which most of the US's population resides. By having both servers now in the centre of the US, there will be a substantial decrease in very low ping players, therefore appeasing the community. Of course there will still be some people who will still have very low ping, but this small change might make Fortnite just one bit better. Chances are, Fortnite wont do this, but I do think it would be far better for Fortnite competitive. Yesterday at 5pm I played arena, the game could barely reach 80 people, keep in mind that the servers are now merged and the game is still quite hyped up, so I have a suspicion that Fortnite comp might be on it's last leg.
