If you look at the launch from other channels (like MCN), they all had the same opening images and drone footage etc. Maybe Ducati helped out there to spice up the launch vids. Talk about niche bikes.

I didn’t feel any uncomfortable heat on a demo ride I did recently for 2 hours in some traffic, stoplights, and Highway on an 82F day. The bike is absolutely fantastic.

Superb introduction to the V4 Diavel! Seems like they are holding back the S version (which seems to be Ducati’s way of thinking these days). Given the V4S StreetFighter & Panigale V4S are the similar money, it should have Ohlins electronic suspension. They are taking the piss with that exhaust price too! I’m glad I’ve got my red 1260S. It’s fucken horn.

Absolutely should have the electronic suspension for me to upgrade from my 1260S. Also - heated grips should come standard on a bike at this price. It's just nickel and dime crap to have to add it. Will be interesting to see what they do with the S.

It's so rare to find really good rider's view filming which stays with that view. It's really immersive. I would like to watch the the complete laps up and down. And then we get the excellent commentary - "It's like going to Bangkok and finding a phallus instead of a flange" 😆😂

A counter-rotating crank won't help side to side transitions, gyroscopic inertia is gyroscopic inertia - doesn't matter what way it's spinning the stabilising force is the same. It's might help to reduce wheelies slightly - fine - but nothing else.

Superlative review, finally mention of the fact that the real world experience might differ based on true road riding conditions. I await reports in the future but admit it just could be my last ride before mothballing my riding gear after a wonderful life time of riding. Sure would be nice to have my exit bike be a Ducati, but postponing retirement to afford it not exactly floating my boat. I’ll take red please and perhaps an “S” version? Thanks for sharing!!! Excellent video. This looks like a really interesting road bike. Comparing this with the Streetfighter, what would you say are the relative strengths of each? Is there something that would make you choose one over the other or does it just come down to looks? I assume the Streetfighter’s going to have more clearance.

Diavel is much heavier than the streetfighter, Diavel is just a sooped up cruiser

@@vindiesel5466 Being lighter isn’t necessarily a strength - without any context that’s just a statistic. From a purely performance perspective then lighter is better. I would presume the Streetfighter has better handling but that’s the sort of thing I was asking about, ideally from someone who has ridden the current Diavel and Streetfighter.

I LOVE my 1260S and im pretty skeptical about the low end power and torque. But I love the new look. I own a 1299s and a v4s and despite both being panigales they're very different bikes.

Jebel Hafeet, I ragged that road on a R1 in 1999-2000, great Ducati bike & vid absolutely amazing road especially back then when nobody gave a sh***t 😊

Looks cool but I can only imagine the recalls owners will have to deal with that happens with every new Ducati model. I had to deal with recalls on the XDiavel and I bought a year old model. I say wait a couple of years for them to work out the bugs.

Lots of trail braking going into corners. I was a bit amazed by the braking in the line ahead of you, at steep angles, mid-corner too. The TC must be very confidence inspiring to do that. I wouldn't try it with basic TC and ABS.

Thing is, in the UK roads like this are remote to non existence, real world test on the Welsh roads for a weekend etc its not going to feel as plush when you hit a pot hole , drain cover or semi smashed up tarmac. Be better to do a test in the UK 🇬🇧
