Adam Jackon It depends. In a full RWD vehicle, that might be the case, but it may not work like that in 50/50 AWD. It definitely won't flip backwards in a FWD vehicle.

That's not how engines work... HP is derived from torque and RPM... For an engine to have 1 lb-ft and 10,000 hp it would have to turn~ 52 MILLION RPM... And for a motor to have 10,000 lb-ft and 1 HP it would have to turn just .5252 RPM

If you go reverse, you will create lift. It's best you use a car with a sloping rear end.

I'm pretty sure you just modify some of the game files, so it's not a mod you'll find to download

if you have the Dev build installed and working, then you just need to download a program called "DB browser for sqlite", then you use that program to edit a file. The beginning of this video goes in better detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3-piHieZcR7kLs just ignore waht he says, you can edit power and such in many different ways when you find out how it's done, you can give a car thousands of hp by upgrading exhaust if you want for example, just by editing the power multiplier the upgrades give.

Wouldn’t downforce be almost upforce when driving backwards. When NASCAR used to have the wing it would lift the cars if they got turned backwards.

Is there a way you could enable steering and throttle in the garage? I've done it a couple of times on accident with a glitch (has something to do with reentering the garage when the world is first loading), and there don't seem to be any boundaries to how far you can drive.

When you drive backwards the aerodynamics are working the other way round that means that instead of pushing you down the spoiler is going to push you up and at higher speeds you no grip on the tires anymore and then it starts to spin out

I'm having a problem with the game refusing to launch for me, it opens up a error message that only says that I should contact system admin for help repairing or reinstalling, which I obviously don't have any. I've tried reinstalling, nothing works. do you know what might be causing it? The only thing I've changed since it worked is that I've now got an other antivirus provider, but even if I completelly turn all antivirus and windows defender and such off during installation it won't work.

I think that the reason the cars cant go too fast in reverse is because of the aerodynamics of the cars. I noticed on one of the last P1 runs that it seemed almost like the car just started spinning its wheels for no reason, unless the car was losing grip by actually lifting of thee ground. when you think of how aero usually works on cars, it makes sense that if it was going the opposite way at the same speed, it would have less downforce and actually start going airborne. If he could see this that would be great.

The downforce is what's making the cars go off track. Aerodynamic parts are directional so in reverse they create lift instead of downforce. Try reversing the tuning on them

It would only make it so the gears worked the opposite way. since the cars already have one gear in each direction, they theoretically would go the same speed. reaching that speed is hard in reverse but it is possible
