I think britain was a fantastic location, but the implimentation was awful. no old race track, no highlands, wide roads, lack of car culture, etc. one of my fondest memories of the game was the british racing green set of missions, exploring some of the stories of racing in britains history, which is more of the tone I wished they picked. I think the racetrack of the lego DLC may have been based off Brooklands given its VERY similar layout (with a few changes, especially in size obviously) which could have made for a great location in the main map and wouldve make the railton so much better. the rally races were also horrible. so many of them were just long straights on tarmac, and the "goliath" race for dirt racing didnt even include some of the best offroad tracks. not a single mention of anything like trials and hillclimb, some of the oldest motorsports in britain that still go on today, no generic supermarket carpark with a bunch of cheap cars parked outside, no ridiculously tight, winding roads in cities or towns (ambleside is as tight as it gets, but if youve been to britain, it feels like a highway in comparison to most roads in old towns) and honestly, the lack of elevation change. we get 2 hills in a game featuring scottish mountains and you can get to the top in under 10 seconds, and the rest of the map is as flat as denmark, how depressing.

Yeah it's a shame that the UK was butchered especially since I'm from there. Also Edinburgh was very repetitive, it had some really fun roads but a lot of it was also very repetitive

The dirt races were the especially disappointing part for me. They made my favourite area in any forza game for off-road (the forests on the west side of the map), and basically never utilised it in any races. The final dirt race was so disappointing for me that I went in and made my own better version with the route creator.

I would be hopeful, but not... extremely. Reminds me of Fallout 3 - i was like, damn this is outdated, no way they are going to make another game with such glitchy engine or such bullshit like loading screens between buildings and exterior. 5 Skyrims later, my expectations got a bit down.

My only issue with the FH5 mountain pass compared to Fortune Island is the lack of another paved section along the mountain allowing you to create a large touge circuit. I created my perfect course utilizing the Fortune Island touge that looped back around to the top and probably spent more hours building various cars to race on it than anything else in the game.

Probably one good way to solve this is making some kind of loop on the top of the mountain and head same road back down. Just make the loop big enough so all the drivers will get out of the way before heading back down.👋

I will miss FH4, it taught me so much about cars, brought me closer to friends and was (mostly) always a laugh! Yes it had its faults (overly wide roads, lack of normal cars, outdated bodykits, outdated wheels, terrible online system, and personally an issue, my online adventures would never count towards the Festival Playlist (so I could never progress in that respect)) but it was overall a great game with many improved elements over previous games!

I will definitely miss FH4. I am from the UK, so most of my friends got this game just because it was set in the UK. Now some of them aren't getting FH5 because it _isn't_ set in the UK. Personally, I am a Forza fan no matter where it is set (FM6 is still one of my favourite games ever.)

The three things I will miss is rocket bunny Lancia and Alfa Romeo. Especially Alfa Romeo I loved the 8C and 4C. If if weren’t for horizon I probably would have never seen them the same appreciation I do today.

I like britain..And i dont think the map lacks diversity in terms of how beautiful it is or that it wasnt a good fit. The seasons make the map change quite a lot. What lacks is that we didnt have the roads that say fortune island has like that climb hill. And Its insane how many races are stuffed into a little island and yet the mainland after 100 hours starts to feel very repetitive.

1. UK. Finally a racing game not set in some fictitious American city. They could've included Cheddar Gorge, New Forest, the Pennines, and bits of Cornwall and Wales. Possibly, if I'd played Horizon 3, I might've missed the exoticism of Australia. But overall, I like England's green and pleasant land, although they way overdid the snow in winter. 2. Easter Eggs. There were Easter Eggs? 3. Fortune Island. Long drift zone + island. Races were always a bit annoying because the drivatars were weirdly fast and grippy, but it's a good place to build up skill points to unlock perks. Seasonal championships weren't worth the effort for the paltry rewards. 4. The fastest car. The 599XX Evo's top speed was a tuning exploit which I hope can be avoided in Horizon 5. Actually, given the cheats which I've seen used in a couple of recent FLs, it isn't the fastest car at all. 5. Car list menu. I think some previous commentator on one of your videos described the new menu as Hot Wheels. Don't like the look of it myself. 6. A FE cars. Yeah, some of these I'll miss, especially the Renault 5 Turbo which seems to have no exact equivalent in Horizon 5 as far as I'm aware (and I'm hoping that the car in the new game will have the same perks anyway). 7. Missing car brands. I'm hoping Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Lancia all make it back into the game, or there's a nice day-one surprise. 8. Rocket Bunny. There are going to be other manufacturers, and like the missing cars, Rocket Bunny may return.

One thing I will personally miss that you didn’t mention is Forzathon Live. In the first couple of months after release I enjoyed this so much. I’m mostly a singleplayer Forza player and only do multiplayer if it’s for the festival playlist. But I enjoyed the multiplayer part of Forzathon Live a lot. People gathering together 5-10 minutes before the hour, showing off their cars, that gave me FH2 car meet vibes. I don’t know how the FH5 events like this piñata pop will turn out, but I don’t think it will be the same. Also, people bash on FH4’s winter season a lot. It’s not my favourite season either but it has its charm. In FH5 winter snow seems to be reduced to the mountain peaks so I doubt we’ll see a town covered in snow again. I’m not sure autumn will look familiar to FH4 either. As you mentioned in the video, months after FH5 is released, we will revisit FH4 and then those things we miss will be obvious. I think for me that will be Edinburgh and both the autumn and winter seasons.

For the 599XX Evo, I wasn't really on either end of the spectrum. I didn't despise it to the point of not using it, but I wouldn't pull it out just to do pulls on the highway either. I had two, I used them for seasonal stuff like speed zones and traps, one was for handling the other for speed. I also had a tendency to pull them out for forzathon live stuff, but other than that it was just a fun car to drive I enjoyed the look of

It wasnt like I was doing a lot of S2 or X class races for me to use it, but it was a good and quick way to knock out the weeklies and buckle down on the forzathon lives when I wasnt choosing some rare and weirdly designed car to help people get their photos with (most of the reason I'd do forzathon live, didnt need the points, still have 4000+ fp and 23 backstage passes I'm not using)

One thing I do miss from Forza horizon 4 is its railroad system they put in. Even though it’s not a railroad game series having long railroads make the map have more life in it. Unfortunately all we got in horizon 5 was a short segment of track with nothing very special. Forza horizon 4 had a much better one with a huge rail yard, branch lines, the huge station, and the nice detail of the overhead catenary. Maybe it’s just me because I’m a car and train guy but I will still miss it.

It's truly tragic that Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Fiat, and Lancia are still missing from fh5. The rights for those brands are owned by Stalantis. Dodge, Jeep, Masarati, Peugeot and many others owned by that brand are confirmed. I hope they're just holding out, but who knows.

I've started to play FH4 last year in August. UK location was a thing that kept me playing FH4 the whole time to this day. The fact that all the map was constant in look and "mood" is one of the best feature for me, with Fortune Island as a cherry on the to of the UK cake :D Main map and Fortune Island are in fact the one organism IMO. I really like that new asymmetric car image from the car list a lot, much more detail is visible compared to FH4, like the rear spoiler and the livery on the roof of the car to name a few. However, I don’t like that the list is only 2 rows high now instead of three. I think the reason they did this is this cloud gaming future. People are supposed to be able to play console games on their phone now, that’s why the UI has bigger fonts and is overall less complicated, it very scalable to a phone now. I’ll still be playing the game from my XSX at home but I like the idea of being able to play FH5 when I’m on holidays on my phone so I don’t miss out on any weekly festival playlist events.

I wont miss the Forza Edition cars. They weren't ACTUALLY unique. Their stats were the same, Their upgrade were the same. The Liveries usually weren't anything special or worth keeping. They only had those special skill perks, which after a certain time is basically pointless. They were a way to build false rarity and value with the absence of unicorn cars. An interesting idea. But there are better ones available. Edit: oh wait, theyre not going away, Hes just saying he will miss the specific ones from 4 :/

To be honest it’s not really the location that’s wrong with horizon 4. It’s how they executed it, trust me there is an insane amount of diversity in scenery between Cornwall to London to wales to Scotland. But they did a bit of a meh job, it was pretty just too samey

I will miss driving on the left like in real life. I will miss fortune island,its awesome drift zone, and the beautiful lightning. I guess I'll miss UK, 3 years we were there, for better or worse. And I'll definitely miss the cars. The Abarth 124 spider is one of my main drift cars, the Kia Stinger that I messed around with a lot at the start because it's a car I actually see in real life and I just love the way the rear slopes down. The Q50ER, it's the closest thing to driving my real life car in the game. The Saleen S5s, I really liked the concept as a kid and wished it was real, getting to finally use it even in a game was amazing. And lastly, I will miss the Lykan Hypersport, it's my favourite car to use in fh4, handles like an Evo VI, looks amazing and has the coolest tachometer in the game. Not to mention a working trip meter so I can see how far I've been driving it. But the cars might come back, I can't wait to drive the Lykan in fh5 if it does come back. Along with the ATS GT it too has a trip odometer and while I don't use it much I find it really pretty.

I probably drifted over 3000 times the long drift section. Over 50% of the time i spend in Fh4 was building Drift-cars, trying to break the records, hunting for the perfect Drift-Build, drifting up and down with a few Randoms i met on these hills. I have maybe 2 cars with tunes that arent my own, one of my 599xxE has someone's tune but I almost never use that one. I have another with my own X tune and another with my own S2 race tune for the rare seasonal where it comes up

One of the problems about the uk is the fact none of the map feels very real to me at all also it only shows scotland and the lake district. Even the small roads didnt look or feel like they were real. If it was more realistic the uk would be a decent place for a horizon game. It is still lacking in diversity but it would still be good if they captured the vibe better. Edinburgh was one of the more realistic places but it still felt like a bit of a ghost town and not 100% right

completly agree with you Ericship. Goodbye forza horizon 4 you weren't the greatest but you were still a decent game we will miss you. I actually really like the UK 🇬🇧 it was cool and I think it would be better I the h4 was set in London

For me, the 599xx evo was the go-to car for seasonal pr stunts. I didnt do much drag racing, so that was never a factor. Something I think FH4 missed out on were more seasonal weeklies and events around Rod and Custom cars. Even with putting out a mostly Rod and Custom pack late in the gamelife with the HotWheels pack, they still havent done much.

Guess I'm the only one that will miss the Lego expansion as I'm a Lego collector. I first got into Horizon 4 playing just the Lego expansion. I had completed the Lego house before I even looked at doing any of the Festival playlists. 5 days to go to Horizon 5. Woohoo!!

Also note that thete are no new Peugoets, Opel/Vauxhalls, Citroens, DS', or even Chrysler cars... theyre all part of Stellantis (includidung Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia) so hopefully one day theyll allow there cars to be used in game again

thing about the 99xx evo. i never ever got one. yes ik its in the backstage and auction but i just never really wanted it. even before i knew it was super fast it just never appealed to me. plus the drag lobbies when people would use these was also a reason why i dont have this car still and probably wont have

Lots of people talk shit about horizon 4 but it was actually kinda revolutionary and has been a good stepping stone to horizon 5... It was by no means the best horizon but still a good game in my eyes.

TBH rocket bunny kits look like cheap bolt-on kits compared to some of the other manufacturers. It would be nice to have diversity, but there's way better body kits out there.

I never ended up getting the 599XXEVO…but I found that a fully upgraded and tuned Koenigsegg CC8S was the next best thing, it’s what I always used for drag races

My drag car was a classic Mini Cooper. And it won most races till it came to crazy cars but typical supercsrs or drag cars it would beat was so fun. But ovs stuff like D Type, Mosler, 599XX E not a chance but what do u expect

sadly i never obtained the 599xx evo, i only used it in some super7 cards where the creator used the car for the event. however since there’s only 3 days left to FH5 (i’m a premium owner, no need to get so worked up saying its nov9 and having a whole quarrel), i guess if i can find a 599xx on the auction house for a reasonable price i will get it and try 324mph for myself

Literally playing fh2, I forgot how amazing it was, I don't think I appreciated it enough being a bit younger. Amazing game. Gutted can't get anymore dlc.

I've never used the 599 simply because I try not to use ANY meta car. I'd rather win races with a car I'd picked, painted, and tuned myself than with whatever is the strongest in the category.

For the drag races on the highway i would use a maxed 2jz stock looking gt86 and it was quite funny getting those big speeds

I'm really hoping that Rocket Bunny kits will come back, because how can you have customization without them. I know, I know, the new bodykits look amazing, but RB is a huge part of automotive customization, and I'll miss them... Well, maybe in a future update it will be added back in...
