Any BMW i8 has the electric engine on the front as front-wheel drive and the turbocharge motor engine on the rear as rear-wheel drive! In order to hear your rear engine startup, you have to put the shift on "SPORT MODE" to start your rear engine! No, it does not have a speaker just to make fake noise as I don't believe what people say! It does take gas as they say but not diesel! If your battery drains empty, it'll switch to gasoline mode and you need to charge your BMW i8 ASAP!
