Forza Horizon 5 - 2016 Viper ACR Is Now a Strong Car For S1-Class!

Back in Forza Horizon 4, the 2016 Viper ACR is completely overshadowed by the 2008 version mainly due to its low top speed and being too high up the PI class. Now in Forza Horizon 5 with more upgrades to play with, it became one of the strongest S1-Class car! Though it can be a handful to drive.

2016 Dodge Viper ACR S1-Class Performance Review:
One of the least impressive car in FH4 now becomes one of the top in FH5. The 2016 ACR combines acceleration with insane handling performance due to its high downforce. Unfortunately it has the same low top speed/high drag from FH4.
Because it is a high powered front engine RWD, it is not the easiest to drive. Highly recommend to use tall gears such as 4th/5th gear for low speed turns. But one you get the car going, its downforce will carry incredible cornering speeds. But watch out for dirty air, it does effect the car a lot.

Thanks for showing this car some love. It's been my go-to for most rivals tracks in S1. Handling is so good, it's one of the few I say that doesn't need AWD conversion for any experienced driver.

A lot of high power cars don't really need AWD, unless we're talking the ones that tend to wheel spin like hell. I personally prefer dealing with RWD's oversteer than with AWD's Understeer.

The viper is so incredibly OP in real life, every video game I’ve ever played nerfs it hard. That car beat the Porsche 918 without awd, a hybrid system, twin turbos, rear wheel steering, active aero, and a quarter million dollar price tag. What a crazy crazy car.

Horizon 3 was my fave because it clearly defined what was road and rally races. Horizon 4 mixed it up a bit, but Horizon 5 seems way too mixed for me, to the point where it's confusion. I would like to see you do more GT7 vids too, at least when the multiplayer gets more diverse.

Hey grandma. Question: I've noticed you don't downshift a lot of gears (i.e. even in a sharp 90° turn u only drop to 4th). Is this because you have tcs off and using a keyboard would mean heavy wheel spin if u dropped down to 3rd or 2nd or do you find maintaining low revs and thus only dropping to 4th will get u a consistently better/smoother exit?

@@godsmackssa the powerbuilds are pretty legit too. There’s a reason race cars have a power limit. Early racing of the 30s was unlimited power and their cars were making 500 horsepower or more on bicycle tires

Does it need to? Outside of Rivals you're not really forced to compete for 1st place against meta cars. As long as you have fun driving it.

Not everything I showcase has to be better than the FXX. The viper got close Rivals lap time with the FXX. The only difference is FXX is AWD so you can be much more consistent with it.

it will depend on the driver, if im honest id prefer to have fun rather than be the fastest, i raced with a stock subie against op cars, most of my races where in top 5 though i had a lot of fun trying to beat fastest drivers

I don't think it's as much the cars being strong in s1 but you just being balls to the wall good at driving. For the average guy, the c8 and other cars are stronger.

You may need a rear wing, it looks like the minute you get the load taken off the rear end it breaks traction big time.

The stock rear wing is adjustable, the only other option is to remove it iirc

On most ROAD racing tracks, sprints or circuits the '16 ACR is VERY competitive with the FXX. The FXX, however does have MUCH more top speed making it better on many STREET racing tracks.

I didn't play this game, but in nfs prostreet i used (and still use lol) the following settings: A-Z for accelerate and brake Arrow keys for handling Space bar for clutch Left Shift and Left ctrl for up and downshifting I don't know if these would work in forza tho

@@conradomods9573 Prostreet is the only NFS that benefits of using clutch, due to some cars have extremely slow shifting, like the Integra Type R. But yeah, using two hands is better than one, I'm using ISAD's layout when playing with clutch.
