The only reason I can think of for a stock matte hood would be because since muscle cars have a long flat hood that takes up part of your visibility, it also can catch a lot of sunlight and reflect it, so a matte coloured hood would be less annoying from a driving standpoint

The Demon was so slow because it was not on its drag radials, unlike how it would have been irl. They come fitted on the car from the factory.

I think the matte hood wrap on the 1LE actually looks good. I’m so used to seeing it that way because I always drive that car in Forza. I think it makes the car look more aggressive, without it, it looks too generic.

100% leaving it on. It's one of the few cars that look good with a matte hood, and it adds contrast. I'm a sucker for some nice contrast and absolutely love the signature 1le hoods

FH5 suggestion: racing-olympics. Rules: there will be 3 teams..one will be red bull, the other will be monster and the 3rd will be rockstar. The leader of one group will be a bowler ( cos bowler time why not? ) the orher 2 will be in anything. There will be three rounds with different races. The first will be offroad, then drag racing and the other will be road racing. The leader will have 3 bowlers, one for road racing, one for drag and the last one will be offroad the team with the most points wins..good luck

I’d leave the wrap on. The game makes it look weird, but in real life the matte black hood looks absolutely killer on the 1LEs. Having the hood without the black, yet still having the matte black side mirrors and either matte black duckbill for the SS 1LE, or carbon fiber wing if you get a ZL1 1LE just looks weirdly mismatched.

The 10 speed is only on the 4 cylinder and the gt, the gt500 has a seven speed dual clutch.

Richard petty and the STP dodge Daytona in the late 60s is what made Dodge! The original 426 hemi in a Dart is what made Dodge. Mercedes owning Chrysler and bringing back the hemi and the challenger is what brought back dodge in the early 2000s

7 speed dual clutch transmission was made to have very fast clamping. So although in a drag race a 10 speed is better. When you get to higher gears the clamping power of the 7 speed will give it an edge. Dual clutch transmissions are found in HyperCars and works well with the GT500. The 10 speed is on the Mustang gt, Mach 1, Shelby GTS-GT-H and Shelby Super Snake, and also on the Camaro ss and zl1 because it was a collar between Chevrolet and ford to make the Goliath 10 speed that drag racers actually prefer over the 7 speed due to its quick shifting speed giving it secured wins in drag racing. Loved this video. I don't mind the longer podcast type content, hopefully you do more. I would've loved to see a purist type upgrade on today's video though. Something where you keep the stock engine and upgrade your car out. Because I know for a fact that Demon can become decent with a few upgrades here and there.

Yeah the base 5.0 Mustang comes with a 10 speed auto (torque converter), and the GT500 has a 7 speed DCT.
