Most of them sound really good, they could be better imo, some of them sound slightly off or lack many attributes. Good thing is they are levels above Forza Horizon 4's sounds lol. When that Viper came I got vietnam flashbacks of that Viper sound on FH4, good thing it sounds really good now

From most of the turbocharged cars, all I hear is sshhh, sshhhhh etc... and it just goes on. Even though Forza recorded the engine sounds right from the exhaust, it still lacks bass and treble. Also, cars with soft limiters IRL has no soft limiters in Forza?

Definitely satisfied with the sounds of the cars in FH5 its pretty close most given how there is about 650+ cars in the game to be considered. Sure not every car will have 100% accurate sounds compare to real life (to be fair the sound samples in the video may not actually reflect the actual sound due to different mic sources or if its even a stock model) but atleast it sound close enough to be amazing for a racing game.

I have watched a video where someone literally had a montage of all the best car sounds from that game, and I was honestly shocked at how good the cars sounded or realistic when considering how old that game is and how even new modern games don't do as well as that game did in sound design. Granted some modern games have improved on certain details and specific sounds to certain engines, it still isn't the best for all the cars, there are certain NFS games like UG2, MW, Carbon, MW12, and so on that have car sounds that just blow my mind every time I hear them like UG2 350Z or the R34 Skyline GTR V Spec stock engine sound. The Gallardo, Corvette or the Ford GT from either MW, Carbon or MW12. The Mitsubishi from MW12 or the Lexus LFA. The M3 GTR of course from MW. Even modern NFS games like Heat has some incredible sound design for cars like the Subaru WRX or the Mazda RX7, Mitsubishi Evo 9 backfire always amuses me because it just sounds like a straight up shotgun, tho I love how loud and high the Evo revs in UG2. Anyway point is, NFS has a history of cars sound good in specific games, and some might not be the best but overall you will find 1 game that has the perfect sound of that car where others didn't make it. The UNITE Mod in Heat basically takes every good sound from every other NFS era and mixes it all into that 1 game. It's insane how all the cars end up sounding.

I have an idea. Ok hear me out what if playground games gives us the option to spec out our cars when we buy them from the autoshow like for example the agera rs. There is 50 or 25 different versions of them what if we can put on a different spoiler on the rs and 2 canard on both frons sides of the car. Another example you know how ford gives us the option to spec out a gt500 shelby 2020. What if we can spec it to have the non track pack and racing stripes or trackpack and the normal 10 spoke wheels. Playground take notes plz. Also depending on how you want your car will determine how much you pay. Like with a pagani huyara you can do carbon blue or purple with the face lift look at the face lift on houston croasta pagani compared to the normal huyara we got on fh4. Look how different the fronts are plz do this playground and plz fix some of the sounds. One more thing we should have the option to change the engine that comes stock in our car. The audi avant the new avant should have the v8 or the v6.

to be fair many of those "real sounds" didn't even sound like the actual cars. but on the other hand you can hear very well that they recorded the sounds at the exhaust and if you would listen to a car directly at the exhaust it sound very different than to when you're standing a few meters away and not just by loudness. You can here very well that there is much pressure in an exhaust and that it doesn't sound as smooth and deep when close up, it sounds very noicy and at a pretty high screaming pitch, addetionally they had to fix the air intake sounds because you won't really hear them at all when recording at the exhaust... In the end it's not very clever to record sound directly at the exhaust, take a few meters distance to the car. And much more important, a car doesn't sound the same when revving high while standing still and driving at full throttle, I am what the hell. you compared standing cars to a pretty obvious full throttle based sound. I don't think forza makes a difference in the sound if you're not going full throttle besides volume.
