im so pumped for the offroading in fh5. looks like theres way more dirt roads than fh4. On eof my biggest gripes with fh4 was how few offroad trails there actually were.

At the start of the Rajal Letterman swamp demo section I liked the way the trees and foliage seemed to be swaying quite a lot in the strong wind - that was quite a lot more foliage movement than I've seen in any previous Horizon. It makes the gameworld feel so much more alive. Which makes me excited to see what the world looks like if a tropical storm hits......

What I was happy to see is that they've changed the rpm gauge In first gameplays this gauge was the same as in FH4 and it didn't really work with this new font, but now I think that it looks pretty cool!

News tip, Pants! Look up ARS Technica. They did an interview with someone from Turn 10... Forgot his name, head of something, knows lots about Drivatars and Forza A.I. TL:DR, New Forza A.I. in the "Next" forza (10 month old interview) will be really fast. The AI may actually put up a fight in FH5?

I really hope we don't just get given everything right away, I just picked up Horizon 4..and within 2 hours I have 3 million..and access to basically every car it doesn't have the same satisfaction as earlier racing games..I want to do events/races to be able to get further into the game..

I think there should be a hard single player mode that requires grinding, but an easier to grind multiplayer so 9 year olds who have 10 hours of game time a day don't school you in whatever op cars the game has but then again, that's probably not happening seeing as we're on the home stretch of the games development

@@bowltm Games are too easy these days, there's no element of challenge to them..and thus the reward is very little. Whilst I agree to an extent that was the fun of gaming when I was younger..racing games were difficult and winning races actually gave us worthwhile rewards. These days people want the entire game handed to them in the first ten minutes.

@@ZephyrMoon666 there wasn't a point there I was trying to make but you have to agree that excessive grinding gives people who have more time to do stuff and advantage. which to an extent, should be true. but also, for the people who work, like myself, it's difficult to have fun in an online mode where people would theoretically have way better stuff than me because they have more time. fortunately, in Forza Horizon 4 I have a really stacked account because ive slowly built up to a prestige 2 400 account with 50 mil. and that's only because of the generous nature of the game besides, do you want a Forza game with GTA online grinding mechanics? nobody likes grinding that much.

@@ZephyrMoon666 it’s one of the things i like about the f1 games. Unless you ate extremely good you can always get a challenge against the ai. And now in 2021 it’s actually pretty difficult to get higher up the grid in my team if you nerf yourself and buff ai. I had my first points in france with a double safety car race and it feels so rewarding unlike games like nfs or the crew were doing good in races is too easy. (IK they’re a different type of game but still)

So if there’s different festivals and each festival is a different race category then I reckon the 3 start cars will be a car for on road like a mx5, Abarth 595 or alpine a110. A car for rally events like Audi s1, ford escort cossie or an evo and a car for those cross country events like the Ford bronco, new defender or Arctic trucks hilux thing. So by picking your first car also decides what category you start off in and starting game location.

It looks stunning, lots of glimpses of different countryside - I saw swamps, deserts, pine forests, grassy meadows, rocky hillclimbs, frozen lakes, shitty high rise hotels....and it all feels more of a whole than Horizon 3 ever did. That felt like a group of different environments stitched together, for some reason this feels less like that.
