Forza Horizon 5 - Toyota GR Yaris, Almost Perfect For A-Class But...

This video features the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, a car which can be obtained by getting 20 points in the Festival Playlist.
This is a good car with decent handling and acceleration, very well balanced in those areas. However the top speed is a bit lacking, which makes this car not too great for high speed tracks like Ruta Norte or Vista Del Mar. It is also very grippy and understeery so throttle control and turning in early will help immensely, this is a car which is better suited for technical tracks.
Overall not a bad car but it's really hampered by its top speed, really missed the chance to be balanced overall.

This car is good but it's just missing one key factor and that's top speed. I would compare this car to the Elantra N TCR in a way, very good handling and acceleration but not so great top speed. I was going to go with a widebody but having a top speed of 250 km/h just isn't enough for A-Class. It's a good technical track car but the top speed really limits the car's potential sadly. 🥲

honestly ~280 kmh (purist) is pretty much enough for any track in A class, you rarely reach higher speeds than that, even in street races sometimes. and the handling is busted on this little guy. oh also bard's tune isnt well-optimized lol, still incredibly fast though.

@@dyman4223 I actually used a VNX Letz tune for a time but felt a little better with this one lol. For me it's okay overall but I really needed that extra speed, like in the first and last race. It's not a bad car by any means, definitely one of the nicest handling cars I've driven so far regardless.

Put it into drag tire to reduce class then more hp it can go up to 270km/h but u have to fine tune the suspension try the WGY tune

@@minta12121 In my experience I tend to shy away from drag tires because of the lack of grip, I do like that it reduces the PI so you can fit more power but I prefer using rally tires for more grip. I'll check it out though.

@@xentarlion1203 It is still very much usable for road racing but I think it would do good in dirt as well, the acceleration and grip on this car is quite amazing. The top speed wouldn't be an issue there.

nice the first visit to Las Laderas, I knew it ^^ does the sport/race mode have a real influence on the differential during the race? as a general rule it's more drift/racing.. My question was to know if I put sport and rework the differential can I gain speed and handling? nice run as always and a nice car even if it's not the Meta but it's fun 🙂

Thank you for the nice comment! I believe in Sport Mode the power is split 30/70 with the power more geared towards the rear (makes the car looser) whereas Track Mode splits the power 50/50 (makes it grip more). From what purist tunes I've seen the max speed is only around 270 km/h-ish, if you add bodykits and such you'll be lowering that down to 250 km/h or even 240 km/h. I'm not sure if different differential settings will work but it's worth a try, it's more of a handling based car so technical tracks is where it shines really. It still is usable everywhere, just have to be wary of the top speed.

I'm afraid I'm not too sure on this but the Sport Mode makes the power biased more towards the rear with a 30/70, front/rear torque split whereas Track Mode splits the power 50/50. Sport Mode makes it a bit more looser in the rear and the Track mode makes it grip more.

Thank you for the nice comment! It's an okay A-Class car, good for technical tracks. The handling is one of the main factors of this car, makes it rather versatile despite the low top speed.
