Or maybe adding a car mechanic sim type of mechanic to beamng drive multiplayer where you can build a car and drive it or have a rp type mode in beam where you can repair real people’s damaged cars from the game for credits that you then spend on insane builds and you race them.

The seatbelt rather than harness on the street rule isn’t stupid at all. Harnesses are made to be used in conjunction with a helmet and a HANS device that will reduce neck movement. If you get into an accident while wearing a harness and not a helmet with a HANS, chances are you’ll snap your spine and die. It’s how Dale Earnhardt Sr. died.

Six-point harnesses are illegal because they are not DOT certified, unlike regular seat belts. Even if it is race certified, that will not count even if it is more stringent than federal laws.

I live in the US, in Michigan. I got pulled over by MSP (Michigan State Police) in a friend's Honda I was borrowing. I was wearing a 6 point harness lol. He pulled me for doing 81 in a 75. Basically I told him I was borrowing the car and who the owner was and what I was doing. I also told him the car didn't have the stock gauges. He let me go with a warning!
