Couldn’t agree more! I spent hundreds of hours on Horizon 4 and at least half that time was by my self. I think the reason is 5 feels exactly the same as 4 aside from where we can drive around to. Once we did all the races, found all the cool spots on the map, we were left with the same upgraded cars we spent hours upon hours on without the same feeling of excitement.. hell maybe that’s just all games now and days..

I've never even thought about playing with anyone in Forza. I guess for me gaming in general but especially driving/racing games are very much time where I like to be in my own little world, and that usually means playing on my own. I do enjoy GTA with friends occasionally though.

Personally I find it fun from time to time when it's just me, the noise of the cars, driving in first person and listening to my music, I try to live the dream that who knows if I will be able to fulfill, but it is still fun to cruise with other people with the same goal as me.

You're not wrong(no sarcasm). Nowadays I mostly play FH5 if I am playing with friends and not solo(I would admit the Hide and Seek is really fun and I do that a lot while solo as well after that mode came out). I would say any game can be fun if you play with friends, even if it's some bad/'bad' game

I famously do not have friends. So i get my racing fix solo. FH5 is the racing game I probably return to the most consistently. The weekly challenges with free car rewards is an easy hook to keep me coming back to the game for at least 1-2 days a week..... depending on how hard it is to find good enough drivers for the coop race. For me FH is the ONLY fun racing game to play solo. Nothing really scratches the same itch horizon games do. though i wouldnt be me if i didnt complain about SOMETHING: there are not nearly enough driftable roads in Horizon games. WAY too many fast sweepers and straights made with asphalt. I understand WHY, (its a racing game with drifing, not a drifting game with racing) but i wish they would dedicate a dlc map to the sport the same way they made one to honor rally.
