AWD is definitely the answer over RWD. I realized my runs during the stream were badly scuffed due to a busted clutch button. After going back with another controller you can easily average 52k-53k on Sukuza if you follow the racing line.

One thing I’ve found out about drifting in Motorsport is that using the clutch instead of breaks or the e-break for transitions works better cause it won’t upset the car balance especially with how heavy Motorsport cars feel compared to something like Horizon, also the GT86 or the GR86 with a mere 300 horsepower and slim tires definitely feel better to drift

I think im slowly getting drifting in this game and absolutely no expert but what I've noticed is: - AWD is better as usual but it takes so much more work and effort that the skill gap for AWD drifting will be much wider than RWD - I've found that the wheel base and the horsepower do not matter as much as weight does when you're learning how to drift at least. Low weight and good brakes with like 600 horsepower and i could send it into corners with max angle and not worry about slipping or falling off the track. - this in my opinion is a lot more fun and technical than Horizon which is a good thing and i hope that doesnt change

The reason you are struggling to drift awd is because you have 700 hp not 1,200 like in fh4. Do you know anything about how cars work? More horse power more spin les grip.

AWD is NOT the best, and it isn't in FH5 either. I can consistently get more score in RWD than AWD cars in FH5 for sure, and so far from what i've experienced in FM5, RWD is better

Drifting is where you can really tell Motorpsort is anchored towards using a sim. It needs the smooth steering input of a wheel over a set of analog sticks. Unless my steering settings need tweaked a bit (deadzones etc), the cars are REALLY snappy and unstable so its very easy to oversteer or overcorrect. I did notice the cars like similar alignment tuning to FH5 as well, at least to make them easier to drive and more stable. Also standard steering is an absolute must over sim. I usually race on sim but drifting was near impossible, at least for me. Also i found the new RTR cars were naturally WAY smoother tan the Viper even though is has its advantages.
