AC Evo seems very promising from the still shot, I think they nail the geometry and shader. Paint effect looks spot-on, but there's still some section where they cut the polygon budget and makes the shape not completely smooth, while GT7 spare nothing to get every shape looks very smooth (at least for new car model, old car models still have polygon budget cut present, like in this video). The ingame footage is comparable between the two, but it's VERY regrettable that even the newest racing games utilizing newest tech can't bring details and realism of the photo modes to the realtime racing modes. The ingame footage still looks very flat. But yeah it's still very exciting that we can finally have some high quality racing games, hopefully comparable to GT7, coming to PC.

In this episode, it is claimed that the M3 E92 in Forza is a rescaled FM2 model. It was recently reported in the Forza Forums. My car model critic friend from there (who is actually a Forza veteran for 10 years I believe), hoped that it would be rescanned, but unfortunately, T10 decided to reuse the same old model from every Forza title it existed. He even mentioned that the panel gaps around Forza's model is exaggerated. Let me break down what he says about this: *"The 2008 E92 M3 first appeared in Forza Motorsport 2 as part of paid DLC. It appeared in each subsequent title until Horizon 5 with zero modeling changes, and even received two widebodies in its life. This M3 model is really inaccurate even for Motorsport 2 standards. Now, the standard E92 M3 has returned with the exact same inaccuracies…"* *"The entire front end of this car is deformed, the front bumper vents are too big, and so are the headlights, which makes the front disproportionate. Overall, the whole body is disproportionate, with the roofline being a bit too tall, and the whole car seeming slightly too short. It is not sleek in Forza. It should also be noted that any and all panel gaps are ridiculously large."* To everyone who thinks Forza Forums doesn't exist or thinks whatever I say is false: You completely missed the whole point, especially from this video. I suggest you better find this report in the Forza Forums by yourself, or check if Forza Forums is a true website. But if you prefer FM still, that’s completely fine. But the more you keep lying by saying “it’s better than GT because bla bla bla” that shows how extremely delusional you are. So I recommend you enjoy your game without shitting other games for no reason. Wow, Grant Turismo. I can drive regular traffic around and around for hours listening to Japanese waiting room music! I have 2,000 hours in FH5 and Motorsport combined, if GT was even a blip on my radar, I'd have to first be jobless and own a PS.

The biggest disappointment for me in Forza is the way each and every car handles. The majority of the cars feels the same and there are some funny physics in the handling such as sticking to the wall or other car when you do bump into them and when you turn hard, you don't quickly get a sense of when the car is going to lose grip. I wanted to like Forza, but having tried it for a full month, it disappointed me so much that I never touched it ever again.

Crazy how Gran Turismo blew past Forza visually. Fifteen years ago Forza 3 and 4 had clearly better visuals with newer car models and better environments. Plus held perfect performance on console while GT5 and 6 struggled. Forza 5-7 were on weak Xbox hardware and still held up well, although GT now had the advantage on more powerful Playstation hardware. Polyphony began to turn the tide with GT Sport and by the launch of GT7 flipped it in their favour.

I'm not overly excited about Assetto Corsa Evo, I welcome it sure. The reason being is because lately all this hype about games, and when they come out, they are trash, and unfinished to the point they feel like a demo. That seems to be the trend lately, but only time will tell. Someone said they can't wait for the comparison to EVO, should be pretty intriguing. I can tell you this right off the top of my head, the car models in EVO are not as detailed as GT7 as far as body details. The interior maybe a different story. Either way car models look great in EVO better than Forza that's for sure.

Old models ≠ outdated. Old reused models are always fine in stuff, just so long as they're still at least accurate, you know? Like people wouldn't care if the Silvia for example was reused if it wasn't so massively disproportionate. Forza Motorsport 4's Xbox 360 scanned models are fantastic, sure they're not perfect but they're not necessarily outdated per se. So I can understand reusing those, for example. Or like there were rumors that GT Sport and GT7 actually use models from the PS3 era. If that's true, fine by me, they're great models anyways and are quite accurate.

You have to understand him: GT7 has received literally zero new real circuits in a year. No new racing cars or even new sport cars, nothing exciting to do actual races. All he can do is to make these comparisons zooming to rear lights (in different light conditions to make GT7 look better) to spend the time and feel better with GT7 😂😂😂 Meanwhile Forza players are eating good with Hypercars, NASCAR, and lots of content and real circuits 😎

Test-drive is far superior than both Forza and GT7, it was abandoned by Sony and it was a big mistake. The game lets you feel emotions no other car game could. My biggest regret was not buying it when I bought my PS4 new

GT7 is so depressingly boring that this dude just spends the time doing shady zoomed photo mode comparisons to rear lights.... GT7 has no decent races, no new racing cars, no new real circuits, nothing to play. Forza Motorsport instead: gets LMDh Hypercars, lots of racing cars, real circuits, and exciting tours and MP series. It's so sad to be a GT7 fanatic FR. 😂

GT7 doesn't have the acres of new content that Forza seems to be getting, but what does exist in Gran Turismo is high quality. The car models kick Forza to the curb. This video was a back-to-back comparison of the M3 in both games, but you're trying to change the goalposts to make it about the introduction of new content in one over another. That's a different issue and not one that was covered by this video.

@@ajrichar0 This video is only showing car models in photo mode Ok give that to GT7, but when playing the game GTs models look not better than Forza, probably even worse because the camera shakes weird and you have no adjustable FOV and more.

@@M-hq9xz I think GT's models look really good one-track while racing. The Forza videos I've seen look fine, too. It's the detail videos like the ones here that the quality between them jump out. But camera shake and other explanations don't undermine the basic point that Polyphony's car models are superior. Forza has engine bay detail which is a fantastic addition, but the rest isn't as good. As driving games, people will have their preference, and that's subjective. And that's absolutely fine. Forza looks great fun! But objectively, its car models are less detailed. If that is not a deal breaker, then it really doesn't matter. It doesn't especially matter to me, but for others (like this content creator), it does.

The point is: this dude spends more time comparing zoomed rear lights in photo mode because there's no exciting content to do races in GT7. If you watch any Forza fan YT channel, they are doing races rather than photomode comparisons.

Forza is better than when it was first released, GT7 is only good in car models, especially headlights and such, but try watching on KZbin, compare between Project Cars 2 vs GT7, they look similar which means GT7 looks outdated, especially the lighting, it's very boring

It's still not impressive as the developers made us think it would be even on OLED and QLED TV's with perfected settings. Believe me, I have mine set right. It may look better than what's shown in this video, but it's definitely nothing to right home about. Cars still look like plastic toys. The environment looks like a cartoonish world. Materials on cars don't look right and some are actually messed up. Clouds look like someone went in Adobe Paint and selected the spray can option. FM is full of pretty effects. It is just a visual art style that doesn't represent real life. It just looks pretty, and only pretty during certain times of the day. Any time at noon or afternoon in sunny conditions looks the worst in this game. Ground textures look like they came from N64 on about 90% of the tracks. A great TV with the settings set right won't change the textures or the fact cars look like plastic toys, or the spray paint Adobe clouds, and bad materials and majority of the cars having the wrong car sounds, or a lot of the cars being old models from the Xbox 360 era, or a lot of them just being proportionally wrong.

A good looking game should look good on any display. What your providing is essentially, "just put reshade on it" to a game that's lacking in visuals. A photo taken on a dashcam won't look better than the rear camera of a phone even if you put filters, edit and view it's colors on a $30K color grading BT.2020 monitor.
