Just invested in both Forzo and Novo Essentials opposed to buying another Spitfire classical sounding library. And let me say, I do not regret it. 2 Trailers are completed with less than 25 tracks for the first time in my 10 year journey. Great product.

Hi, I also have quite a few Spitfire Libraries and was tempted with Colossus next. Do you have that one? and if not, would you recommend Novo for Trailers above another Spitfire library? it sounds like it from what you have said. I am going to get Forzo soon, it sounds just amazing ! I love the Spitfire libraries and the Brass is excellent but this seems to just sound perfect for Trailers and Soundtrack out of the box.

@@paulg3388 great question and my straight forward answer is if you’re talking trailer campaigns specifically, Forzo and Novo runs laps around Spitfire for sound design / trailers. On the other hand, when I write sheet music or score a full motion picture, Spitfire strings are always my go to. GL mate

@@TeddyTOG ok that fits with what I was hoping you’d say to be honest. I’m going for Forzo for sure as I love the sound of it and I’m waiting for a discount to come out for one of the Audio Imperia libraries and I’ll get Novo also off the back of your comment and other things I’ve read. Thanks for taking the time to reply !

After searching around to find a more Cinematic sounding Brass Plugin, man oh man am I glad I found this. The really odd thing is this track is actually EXACTLY what style/sound I was looking for, so it's a given that I will purchase this. Heavyocity are making a packet out of me at the moment, damn them for being so good !!! :)

OK. This was eye opening. I got this program on Black Friday. i won't lie. The learning curve for the PDF manual is STEEP for those of thus coming from the pure Classical world and new to sound design. Listening to these video, however, you can literally make almost synth sound out of these raw samples so once I've got this program licked, I'll have all the sound design i need. The fact that the full ensemble patch was recorded separately and that you can layer it with the individual sections is huge and more than makes up for any lack of legato in this VST.

I'll be applying that layering of portato and sustain trick, as well as the trumpet/horn unison plus horn an octave higher trick. I was concerned about phase issues, as almost all VST libraries have them, but with this, I can just pan the ensemble patch left and the layered individual patches right and get incredible width and coherence.

Wow!!! all so amazing and larger than life sounding. Jason is incredible with his music, as I first heard his compositions on the scary creeped out video game “Dead Space” 1 and 2. I was literally chilled to the bone while playing it. The music really taps into the different emotions we all have. Once again simply incredible.

Truly amazing demo for a the great company of Heavyocity. Always making amazing libraries for us composers to play around with. Congrats Jason. :)

Not amazing. By a long way. The demo is yet another tedious rip of that German guy. Horrible. And bad brass writing.

Nothing prepares you for when the demo starts. Trully amazing.

I wish that FORZO and VENTO can have the Amazing Legato too.

Hi Jason. Just watching this Video again, and I wondered which Percussion Plugin you were using for this Track? It shows the sounds starting with CS so I assumed it was Cinematic Studios however they don't have a Percussion Plugin available from what I can see. If you wouldn't mind confirming what you used, as I loved the sound of it. thanks

Ok I believe I found it, which is Cinesamples Drums of War as you have done the Demos. Awesome stuff, I will purchase that also. thanks !

Huge fan of Heavyocity as a sound design tool but honestly speaking it would be nice to have legato instruments in this one. Legato was missing in Novo strings too if I remember correctly seeing the demos.
