Thanks so much! Work to Carlysle gen5. Little difference with connectors but easy to figure out on the way. After replacement all my settings are still there. Glued back with sealant. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

@@anjolafarouk8360 The cheapest sealant from Walmart. After time it still holds charge for really long time. Over all replacing was easy and worth the money.

Did you end up replacing the battery and, if so, do you remember where you found a new one? I'm dealing with extremely short battery life on my fiancee's watch, and I just opened hers to find it's that same APack APP00311 model. Thanks!

hi ! got the same problem, how did you test your battery ? i found some on ebay but don't want to waste my money if it's not the battery.

The battery lead has 3 small metal contacts on its end. I used a volt meter to find the 2 that were the power and ground and got a voltage reading. It should be between 3.8 and 4.4 VDC. I put mine on the charger for a few hours to make sure it was charged and got the 4.4 VDC reading.

You may have some luck with gently applying a heat gun or hair dryer to it. Not closer than 3-4 inches away, and you don't want to actually get it HOT. Just keep at it for a bit to let the heat penetrate the surface and soften the seal. Try not to make it too hot to touch. After that, you can slowly work an Xacto knife (or other utility blade) under the edges all the way around, prying gently. You may need to reheat it more than once. Just go slow and be gentle. Have a second knife or feeler gauge blade or something similar to insert once you get an edge up, and the rest should be pretty easy. Resealing can be done with black RTV sealant and a toothpick or something to apply a very thin bead around the edge. Make sure to scrape off all the old seal beforehand as any remaining gasket material may prevent the new seal from being really watertight. :) It's identical to the procedure for replacing phone screens these days.
