Fossil Sydney satchel & Fossil Rachel satchel - close look and comparison

Nina Su bag hoarder here also. I love these satchels. I have 6 Rachel’s and 1 Sydney. Therefore I’m a bag hoarder too😂😂😂 I like both but I’d say that I do prefer the Rachel because of the two outside pockets. Thanks for the video.

My favorite fossil handbags. I do prefer Rachel over Sidney, I think it's the fact that Rachel has two outside pockets which are deeper. Beautiful bags!

I prefer the Sydney. The handles, the feet, brass hardware although some have silver hardware. Your interior looks like the older set up that many prefer with credit card slots and should have a key keeper dog clip. Newer Sydney bags have pockets like your Rachel, but thinner brown material. I'm fine with 1 exterior pocket for phone. On the 2nd hand market, you will find variations in the handle drop, pocket depth and country of origin of Sydney bags. TFS

The Sydneys used to come with the key charm, too. The inside of yours looks like the older version. I am surprised you don’t have a key charm.

Hi there.. I'm a new fossil lover..i recently got Sydney in black. I bought it from a second hand store. It's a nice bag. Every details are same like yours from the leather, the logo, the gold hardware and the interior except that mine comes with black opening zipper not gold. I wonder if the one that i have is old version 😅

I have the same black Sydney as well and the Rachel in the light blue but recently sold it. I prefer the Sydney (older version) over the Rachel. I love how soft the leather on the Sydney is. I just didn’t like how the handles on the Rachel wouldn’t come down. And the Rachel just seemed stiffer 🤷🏻‍♀️.

The Rachel is definitely more structured compared to the Sydney . At first I really loved the Rachel but I think the Sydney has really grown on me now and I adore it !! I can see why u chose to keep the Sydney satchel . Xo

I heard the older version (your black) has floppy handles because those handles are leather - the Rachel bag doesn’t have leather handles so they’ll never soften & be floppy. I wish they were leather 🤷🏻‍♀️

My Rachel was just delivered today! I love a structured bag, so the Sydney wouldn’t work for me. The ONLY thing I wish the Rachel had is the feet. Thanks for sharing! And yes, I could watch bag videos all day!! 🤣

Robyn’s Empty Nest I totally agree about the Rachel needing feet like the Sydney satchel !! Structured bags is usually my preference too but for the size of these bags I don’t mind a little slouch . Enjoy the Rachel , Xo thanks for watching

I really wanted to love these bags, but something about the leather turns me off. It feels like top grain (a lesser quality), not full grain leather and, as you pointed out the website offers no useful information other than to say it comes from a cow. I also did not like the lining in the Sydney- it felt cheap to me. But the DESIGN of these bags is amazing. TFS.

Biggest difference is the rachel stap and handles are not leather.
