The developers are actually planning to add Dimetrodon in one of the future updates. And yes, the terror birds and every other creature currently in the mod will be in the port, with new models and (I assume) animations.

I still think it’s one of if not the best dinosaur mod, it’s Just perfectly simple, love the mechanics, and the models are simple enough to fit Minecraft’s style while still being very detailed but not too realistically detailed. But the mod does have its flaws and bugs, and I do hope for some changes which I’m very excited about. Too bad I can’t access my minecraft anymore, maybe when I get my new MacBook

The different colors are dimorphism and they will breed on their own. there is a config you can edit to make them drop eggs as an item instead of laying them so you don't have thousands of babies

Megalania color pattern reminds me of the Australian moniter lizard the perentie. Or a young komodo pattern I can also see it compared to that.
