At 7:30 the partial fraction is wrong firstly we have to make numerator power less than denominator then we can only apply partial fraction

at 4.24, for foster form II, a/s+b will be with resistor b/a and inductor 1/a. then only the admittance will be a/s+b. please see.

Ma'am we can solve partial fractions for proper rational function.But you have did that for improper rational function. For improper rational function we cannot apply partial fraction. In the numerator degree=4 And in denominator degree=3. So we have to apply long division method and after that we will get a proper rational function.And then we will apply partial fraction. It will be : 4s+(52s^2+64)/s(s^2+4)...on solving we get A=16 and B=36 I am saying for FOSTER 1 CASE ONLY ....and FOSTER 2 is correct because we already have proper rational function for Y(s)

Realized later; the 4 from denominator of LHS has to be part of denominator with A & B doing partial fractions. [my incompetent assumption earlier: at 16:14 shouldn't the 4 from denominator of LHS be multiplied to the Numerator of RHS, so should be 4(1/5 S), and 4(4/5 S) respectively for A & B?]

Madam partial to do fractions (nr) degree must be less than the (Dr) degrees ... in case of Mr degree greater than Dr then we make one decision and apply partial fractions but in first problem there is a mistache madam but Ur teaching is very well madam

Remember, inductive reactance is Ls , capacitive reactance is 1/Cs and resistance is R.. relate somewhat ... Just analyse the pattern.. goodluck

mam one doubt when the numerator degree is greater that of the denominator we will go for division of the polynomials to make the improper fraction into a proper fraction and then we will apply partial fraction method mam. please clarify it mam.

Yes, long division for polynomials can be done when both the powers of num and deno are same, or the power of num exceeds that of deno

@@BaseYourBtechmam another one to be rectified mam. Actually denominator in the partial fraction has to be linear mam. As in the case of quadratic polynomial as this the case here(s^2+ a) then numerator will take the form of (A*s+B) rather A alone. So instead of A/(s^2+a) , (A*s+B) /((s^2+a) will come. Please comment on it mam

When denominator is s²+a, numerator can be As or As+B. Actually the case is , if your denominator is nth degree polynomial, the corresponding numerator must be ( n-1)th degree general polynomial

Mam there is an issue by solving like this When i solved it iget a infinite inductor value 4H, capacitor 1/16 F ,LC n/w L=9H ,C=1/36 (Foster 1)

Yes I noticed. But the net value stays the same youbhave 4 elements. In three branches. I got 3 elements in two. It happens when there is a pole at origin.

Here while solving foster i form Power of numerator is greater than denomenator, that means improper fraction exists there. So we must make it proper at first first and then use the partial fraction, isn't is mam?

Resistor is R Inductor is L Capacitor is C In foster 1 we connect the components ( R or L or C) parallels.. and the blocks in series In foster 2 we connect the components (R or L or C)in series and the blocks in parallel

Negative values indicate your step is somewhere wrong. May be your numerator and denominator would have changed

Ma'am for partial fraction method 1st thing the equation should be proper rational function so we will need to start with long division first for froster 1 numerator degree should be less than the degree of denominator for reference similar question is in KM soni 2017 reprint Network analysis & Synthesis Example 9.11

in froster - 1 in the question above you shown Z(s) = 4s + [ (68 s^2 + 16s + 64)/s(s^2 + 4) ] and then partial fraction on square bracket A=16, B = 52, C=16 thanks for rest of the things for NAS

Mam..partial formula for1/s(s^2+a)=a/s+(bs+c)/s^2+a...hauta hai but you are not using (+c) with it ...why so

There is nothing to compare with c/s²+a.. from the chart. That's y.. We have our choice to split the given fraction .

That's a wrong indication. You wll get always positive value for constants. Your numerator or denominator would have changed

Your explaination for foster 1 is wrong because denominator power must be greater then numerator power. You should have used long division method

Go for long divisio method. And ur fraction will be equal to quotient+(remainder÷divisor)
