Another great way to help is to consider starting a “foster closet” (or serve an existing one) where foster families can get donated clothes, toys, and basic necessities when they have a new placement. Many kids come with only the clothes on their back, and that places a huge financial burden on foster families.

I have cousins who i lived with that were in and out of the foster care system. Not only was the home they were taken from not fit for a child but so we’re the foster homes they were previously placed in. Anyone reading this, we aren’t just in need of foster parents in the U.S. but GOOD foster parents. A lot of these children never get a break. They go from abuse at home to abuse in the foster care system. We need more good foster parents. We need more eyes on these children. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing this. Sometimes we are so busy in our homes and focused on our lives that we completely forget the huge need and suffering going on all around us. We too fostered several years ago when we had one child and after adding on to our family we paused but still plan on fostering once we’re past the young years. All with the Lords help. Fostering has been the hardest thing we’ve done to date but the Lord sure softens our hearts and give us the love and patience we need to do this great work.

Thank you Jady for helping getting the word out. My husband and I are foster parents and we have adopted 14 children from foster care and overseas we have adopted from China and Bulgaria. There is a need and it is very much a ministry as this is how we look at fostering and adopting. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. It has ben a hard road but very rewarding. We also home school as well.

We have 2 biological kids and homeschool. We have fostered for 4 years, fostered 10 children and are currently moving toward adoption with 2 boys one of which has special needs. I will tell you this is 100% a mission field. It is the hardest most heartbreaking thing we have ever done. It has also opened us up to really feel God's grace in our lives. It is a gift to foster.

Thank you for sharing of the great need for good foster homes! My husband and I fostered for many years and 3 of our children are adopted through foster care. It’s such a challenging journey - but absolutely worth it to see these children experience being cared for.

We are taking a break right now but was a foster family for almost a decade and adopted our beautiful daughter from foster care. Your story sounds so much like our first year with her. She was placed with us about a month before her 3rd birthday and weighed 14 pounds; hair matted and falling out from malnutrition. I will never forget that first bath either.

😢 Terrible and yet beautiful story about that little girl. I’m so glad you guys were able to support her. It is such a sacrifice but your story was encouraging that we also may be able to help more than we think. My husband also is reluctant about taking in any foster children 😅

Oh my goodness Jady, I LOVED this video! I appreciate the raw and real emotions you shared regarding your experience! We have a heart for children as well and would love to one day foster and adopt but we unfortunately don't have the space yet. Thank you for using your platform for such a selfless and beautiful cause. May God bless you and your family 🙏 Thank you for being His "hands and feet" as you love on His children,😍

What a great story. The Lord has been showing us to foster as well. Just waiting on his timing. We have 5 children of our own and our 2 oldest are in college and still lives with us. The other 3 are 10, 7 and 4 and are homeschool. Are there resources or finances to help foster families take of these children? You describing your experience and the child you took in shows the reality here in the USA.
@JadyA4 ай бұрын
Yes you do get a stipend for each child to take care of basic needs, they have free healthcare and help with food, counseling and everything they need.

Thank you for bringing information on the subject to more people, I grew up in foster care and it’s such a tragic upbringing for children raised in the system.

I am so surprised by the details of the story to the point that I don’t believe it. Who could ever believe that authorities pulled away a child with medical and probably mental conditions and the first place they thought to take the child to is Jady’s house and not the hospital? I guess the child should be seen by a doctor and be on a program to gain weight. Hahaha and they gave you a photo of her and her mother…this story is so made up
@LeslieCorral-fn1pz2 ай бұрын
Well usually they have to find an immediate placement for the child and I believe she mentioned in another comment that the system does provide the healthcare and food and resources for the children . With that being said she also said in the video that she was notified the child was to gain weight etc so she took the steps to help the child in any way she could . But far from a made up story simply sharing her experience in detail . It’s a beautiful thing ❤️
@batman2139072 ай бұрын
@@LeslieCorral-fn1pzThank you for repeating what I have already heard in the video. However, I am not convinced. In her story she mentioned that they brought to her steps a dirty and hungry child that hadn’t taken a bath “for months maybe a year (as she said)” almost like a skeleton and with open wounds, giving the impression as if they never provided any care after separating the child from the addict mother. I cannot imagine taking a child at such an emergency condition and giving it to another family before being cleaned and hospitalized, when at the same time non profit organizations treat stray dogs with proper care before a family adopts them. People with anorexia for example are hospitalized for many months until they gain weight. I cannot believe that authorities took an abused child and just gave it to another family from door to door…
