I've been listening to foster the people for more than four years and I remember listening to them and falling in love with their first album. That album was and still is my all time favorite. I would check and see if they would ever come out with music because they were literally my favorite band ever. And in 2014 when they announced their new album I was so happy. The Truth is probably my favorite song from them and it always makes so happy and sad. Last year I was able to go to their concert and that was the best night of my life. If I were to ever meet them I know I would cry my eyes out, telling them how much they mean to me and just hug them. I've never loved a band so much and I had something so special to me.

Lyrics ♥️ I've been trying to re-learn my name It seems like a thousand years I've been out of frame And I surrender the truth is what What I've needed from you I've been floating within your walls of opinion And I'm tired, I only want the truth I have tried so hard not to be like them I have found they don't ever say what they mean There is a truth, there is a light if you'd follow me there I've been searching for directions and I'm convinced the world doesn't know what it needs There is a hope for the hopeless, I can promise you that Yeah, well I been accosted The jury's been partial But I won't surrender To prove to you I won't lie Under pressure of compromise Yeah well an absolute measure won't change with opinion No matter how hard you try It's an immovable thing Just like the visions in your bed Or when they're streaming in your head I have tried so hard not to be like them I have found they don't ever say what they mean There is a truth, there is a light if you'd follow me there I've been searching for the directions and I'm convinced the world doesn't know what it needs There is a hope And I'll come back If you're needing my hand The world is so broken I'm tripping my steps I'm slipping and I know why I never thought that I'd be here A blinding call to prayer Has touched my feet Like the call of the prophets A purpose is needed before you know that you know To never wonder what you are And not forget where you come from, yeah, wooh mmm mmm Well i it really love you've been speaking of? What'd you say? What'd you say? What'd you say? Yeah yeah What'd you say? I said that you need me, don't you? There is a truth, I can promise you that I have tried so hard not to be like them I have found they don't ever say what they mean Yeah , yeah, the truth stands in the end While you're deciding what to do The truth stands in the end While you're deciding what to do

When i first discovered Foster the People it was from a vine actually. i didn't really like the vine in it self but the song was amazing. The song = Pumped up kicks (bridge and law remix) , i went down to the comment section and i saw alot of the same questions. What is this song!?! I saw someone commenting the name of the song and i immediately searched for it. I fell in love the song. i had it on loop for 3 months. After 3 months i got sick of it so i just searched for the original. And that was the best day of my life. I discovered the best band ever. Foster the people of course. I was only listening to pumped up kicks and i didn't give the other songs a try. But i got bored of pumped up kicks so i went on too find some of the other FTP songs. I found houdini , call it what you want dont stop and nevermind. I loved those songs so much. I almost knew all the songs form FTP. But then i found the songs that weren't that what can i say , popular? Well i found this. One of the best FTP songs ever made. Why is it so underrated? Why is mark foster so underrated? Why is FTP so underrated? Those are answers we will never get and never understand. FTP has a big fan base though, and its still growing. Im very happy for them and im going to their concert in july, so hyped!! Keep it up FTP, your'e the best band in existence. I love this band so much. It has personaly helped me so much with my problems and just listening to some of the songs just cracks me up. God i love this song.
