Fostex FE103-sol & CHR-70 Mark audio

I prefer the Fostex FE103, more airy sound, much more lively! I can heat bit more distortion also unfortunately also, maybe it reached the limit of the power. The CHR-70 Mark sound more bass(y) because it has less high freq and less air that is why sims to be smooth or softer.

Mark Audios sound a little smoother and more mellow, I think I prefer that. The Fostex are very clear but a little bright and almost edgy.

New subscriber. Both are lovely. Fostex has more depth and resolution IMO. Listening with fairly high end DAC, headphone amp and HD800S phones.

Good evening 🌺... Mark Audio has a certain subtlety in the middle frequencies, more laid back and relaxed in my opinion. The Fostex is more detailed but it might sound different or maybe improved if you try to do the same test with another amplifier and a different wider speaker placement like how one intends to listen to them at home. They are both nice speakers, it is just a matter of taste.

自宅のスピーカーのユニットをCHR-70からFE-83solに変えました。 自作の水道管を利用したYoshi-9タイプですが、バランス的にMarkAudioは、自作マシンでは低音過多になってしまいました。 この動画でもその傾向が感じられますね。

MARKやPARKは低音が強いユニットなので 配管モノだと音道が長いのかもしれません 動画での103solはバックロード向けで、 バスレフ用も作られてますが16Ωと異様に抵抗が大きいのです

ここのところCHR70を聴くことが少なくなっていましたが、改めて聴くととても優雅にふわっと聴こえます。FEの紙らしさとの対比や、OM-MF５　５１９とは格が違うんだぞ的なところが強調されますかね。,

FE103はFEシリーズの中でもバランスのとれたユニットだったが、最近のFEシリーズは改良され、どんどん高価になって、音的にも魅力が無くなっていった。今のFostexのユニットに魅了は感じられない。
