7系がお好きみたいですね。私はFE127だけ自作経験がありますが、中高音が人工的というか癖のある音でピュアオーディオはどうかと思いました。もっとも箱が【凱旋門】でしたけど。FEの3系よりも低音が出やすくて、使いやすいユニットと定評がありましたけど、意外と当時もあまり使わないユニットでしたので、参考になります。ありがとうございました。

FE127は独特のリバーブが有って手放しましたが Eシリーズで音は結構変わって従来の3シリーズに近くなってます

It takes me some replay, this is my conclusion based on what i can get from my ear piece headset 5 inches The treble sounds light thanks to 5 inches diameter and xtra cone. Though the whole midband sounds bit on lighter side, it has the typical airyness attributed to 5 inches speaker. The bass understandably doesn't get low but the whole midband is presented with a good balance. 6 inches High frequency sounds deeper and slightly muted or on the softer side. The low frequency (below 50 Hz) isn't much elevated but the whole body of sound has more weight. 8 inches To my ears, the bigger cone of 8 inches doesn't seems to help much, high frequency sound almost too muted, bass hasn't much presence albeit the size. IMO i find 5 inches is the golden middle for full range driver. In my case, i use full range for intimate sound, not to reproduce the sheer 128 member of Philharmonie orchestra in ffff.

このシリーズのBOXはFFシリーズ用でFEシリーズでは小さい。他の形式のBOXに変えた方が良い。FE83やFE103は是迄何本も作成したが、FE103の音が自分としての基準なので、12cm以上であれば低音は十分。FE127E2 FE167Eは好きな音だが、FE207Eは大味で使う気になれない。20cmはマグネットを強化した物をバックロードで使っていた。昔はFEシリーズは安価でいろいろ遊べたが、今は同社で磨高級品になってしまった。
