For the second series they had to write it quickly whilst they were in more demand than they were before and it kind of showed although I still love the 2nd series I definitely preferred the first

@Andy Rome A left wing faction of the Democrat party called the Progressives made a lot of inroads in cities in the last couple decades. Their ideology focused a lot on what they call "fairness". Anything successful or growing was taxed heavily, penalties for small crimes, and later bigger crimes, were heavily reduced making it easier to victimize the public and get away with it. Cleanliness was seen as a luxury and also not incentivised. Regulations made it even harder to exist as a productive citizen because success was seen as theft.
