Just so you know) Add 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil right before moving off the heat. Stir well and pour immediately. (If you don't do this well you'll be left with oil pockets or all the oil will dissolve. So be careful.) Add a wick before it solidifies and boom. Brand new candle for super cheap.

Acetone removes stickers. It's used in hospitals to remove adhesive off of a patients skin leftover from bandages. Putting candles in the freezer will make the candle draw in from the sides, enabling you to just turn over and pop out the candle. I've usually done it overnight and take it out in the morning. It's great for removing wax tarts that have melted if you want to put in a different scent. The wax always comes out in one piece. Depending on the glass jar shape, you may need to break the frozen wax in 1/2, whereas straight sided glass containers like above will require no utensils for removal. ❤

If you have a fire pit and would like to make fire starters, use the little bit of wax that's left in your candle. Melt it in a double boiler. Take toilet paper rolls or paper towel cardboard rolls cut down to 4 inches long, fill with lint from the dryer. While standing them on a cookie tray lined with foil, pour the melted wax over the lint filled cardboard rolls. After it hardens, flip them over and pour wax on the other side. These are great, inexpensive little fire starters that will last until you get your fire started :)

You can use the oven if you don't have a candle warmer, you just use the lowest temperature, or a very low temp level on the oven heat setting, put the candle container on a cookie sheet and then place in the oven for about 10 minutes. Sometimes you may need to do it longer, even up to 30 minutes. Don't leave unattended. Doing this process will melt the wax into a liquid that you can pour out of the container that the wax is sitting in. I like this method because if there is any wax clinging to the sides of the container it will all melt/drip into the bottom where you will pour it out.

You can clean the sticky off the bottom with peanut butter too.

I remember when these candle beads were super popular back in the day. My mom sold home interiors and they had a line of them briefly.

I just use a candle warmer. Enjoy the rest of the wax instead of wasting it then wipe out with paper towels. No waste, no need.

😊i do this too. I use them for many things. Spices, cinammon , tea bags, herbs, I also use them to save my hair scrunchies

Use a hair dryer to remove stickers/labels. Warm the sticker for about 20 seconds and simply peel off. If you start to peel and it stops flawlessly working, just warm a bit longer. WORKS SO WELL.

Genius , I usually put the old candle in my freezer to get the wax out . 🎉🎉🎉

I use mine in the bathroom for cotton balls, hair ties, scrunchies, and Q-tips! I always buy the candles with lids. ❤️❤️❤️

I also keep the wax. After ive saved a good bit. I melt, add a wick, and re-use. It always smells so good!😊

Yeah, I will never not find a way to keep candle containers. I didn’t pay money to not use the entire thing for as long as possible. Reduce and reuse.

Great video!! I'm making candles and have all these beautiful old candles, i actually just threw one out. Next time, I'll do this!

Don't throw away the leftover wax! You can make a tea light warmer insert from candle wax. Put the leftovers in the part where there is usually water with scented oil. You can also make a multi-scented candle from a few leftovers by melting the wax and inserting a wick like I did in the film. You are welcome 😊

You can also soften any sticky labels using a hairdryer (it makes the glue more "soft" ) so you can remove it easily and then use oil to clean any remains of the goo

Put about an inch of water in a saucepan, turn the heat on pretty low, and set the used candle in the water. Watch until you see a little bit of liquified wax by the edges. Use a potholder or tongs to take the candle out, and tip the wax into the garbage. Wipe out the container. Much easier/more complete than chopsticks!

Just a tip if anyone wants, I pull the top layer of stickers off, then soak the stickers in goo gone for a little bit, and it just slides right off. Though if a surface is painted, then I'll take the time with hot water. I'm just impatient 😆 If you do try goo gone, make sure to read surface safety instructions. Don't want to put it on wood, painted surfaces, things like that.

Put the candle holder in the freezer. Plop it upside down on a flat surface and it will come out in one piece. I break up the left over candle into pieces and use it in my wax melt device. Just throw away the little metal pieces

I’m slowly using up and not re-purchasing scented candles..I love them but they’re too toxic…I put them in the freezer when done and use them for different things, if it’s a particularly nice ceramic one, I drill a hole in the bottom and use it as a planter. I also just put in a plain tea light or the fake flame candles if the color of the glass is pretty. 😍

Setting the near empty candle in a bath of water the remaing wax will melt & the candle can be pulled out, the sticker on the bottom will loosen, scrape & remove as much as possible, remove the remaining sticker remnants using cooking oil on a paper towel in a circular motion. The oil will breakdown the glue. Alternatively, you can melt the remaining wax & using a cheap/old ice tray, pour in melted wax & cool...wax melts.

I reuse them like this: decoupage the outside (with napkins or rice paper) and light tea candles in them. Comes out real pretty.

I dip cotton balls in the leftover hot wax to make fire starters. They burn for about 5-10 minutes and we use them to start a fire in the fire pit outside.

Pouring boiling water over the wax also works. The melted wax floats to the top and comes out in a block. Also makes removing the sticker easier if you peel it before the waters cools down. I purposely buy nice candle jars to use as decor later.

For stickers like the one on the bottom try to warm it with a hairdryer. It works wonders!

You can still use the wax left by using it in a wax melter (candle) Just break it apart and add it to the top, or to liquid wax that's already melting.
@tessaducek560124 күн бұрын
I set it in a pot and boil the wax. Then use it to fill small aluminum tea lights and add a wick to reuse in oil burners. Then wash out the jars for different projects. Hot water releases the wax too if you don't melt it down for other uses.

instead of going through all of this, sit in a pan of hot water. that'll melt the wax and take the tag off of the bottom.

You can put the candle in the freezer for an hour and then when you take it out let it sit for a few minutes before hitting the bottom. The wax will come out and you can use it on a wax melter. I reuse my candle holders for planters and to hold hair accessories.
