Great "donjon" :) It's 15th-17th century - The auto-subs didnt capture it but I think he said it's from the Duc de Wallonie (Walloons of France/Belgium). They found that well preserved wooden bridge in the water (10th century?). And because of passage of time in its use, they found various articles and animal bones.

The French require a private individual to have all the finances to home renovation and purchase whether it's a palace or a pig sty. it doesn't matter where your from only what you can afford and if you ain't got the cash and your not french you will be deported

I'll try to summarize (English is my 2nd language). Basically, he explains the dungeon was surroumded by water. They dried it out to renovate the walls. They then realized that underneath the 19th century bridge, remained the wooden structure of a previous bridge, probably dating from the middle age. So, thinking people used to throw their garbage in the water, they began archeological searches in the mud. They found different things, including money from the 15th century, bones... They took small part of the old wooden bridge to study them and date them, and put the old structure back in the mud as it was before, so it would not deteriorate. The water had kept it in a very good state of conservation.

One day old comment on a 4 years old video, nice. So what he was saying in summary is that this is a donjon (defensive and living tower) located in village Crupet in Belgium dated to the end of 13th century (1200s). They did some excavations in the moat and discovered foundations of an older bridge of wood where the stone bridge is now. In the moat they also found artifacts people have thrown off during the course of centuries so not only medieval but also 16th and 17th century objects of their day-to-day life.

Not sure if they made mention of it, but it appears the foundation of the older wood bridge was the temporary structure built to support the heavy stone arch during construction. Once the stone arch was complete and self-supporting the wood structure below would be removed.

Ce n'est pas que du plastique qui respire ( d'ailleurs il ne respire pas, c'est juste un textile perméable conçu pour être placé sous terre sans se détériorer), il permettra notamment de conserver de l'humidité même en cas d'assèchement relativement cour de la douve mais aussi d'empêcher les racines et de potentielle mycorhizes de coloniser le bois.
