My favorite EC horror artist is Graham Ingels. Kind of on the opposite end of the spectrum from Jack Davis where Ingels heavily leaned into the grim, dark and gritty horror portrayal. The diverse group of artists EC used is part of what made them so great!

@@oudevoida I agree! Every EC artist had their own distinct style! I love Ghastly Graham too!

Thanks for showing this off, Taylor. Looks great! Horror comics always hit different in black & white. Baffles me how some people avoid b&w comics!

Jack Kamen is probably my favorite. His style plays very well against type with the stories he did for EC.

Yea! Kamen is great! The last volume in this set was Kamen’s Kalamity collecting his horror comics!

I had no idea that Binder wrote for EC comics! There's something about the way Jack Davis inks that his work is instantly recognizable as soon as you see it.
@TaylorTalksComics28 күн бұрын
@@cultofj3777 yep! A lot of times, I think, it was EC taking older Binder stories and adapting them to comics. And I agree! Davis is definitely one of those stylized artists you can recognize right away.

I have a three way tie for favorite artists tbh! Jack Davis, Johnny Craig, & Jack Kamen would be at the top of my list. Love all the artists though
