Thanks for the kind comments. Unfortunately with the lock down here in SA, replacement components are hard to get - everything seems to be on back order.

I have the same board. I found the MOSFET and Recovery diode shorted out as well. Got the replacement parts and powered it back up and the fuse blew again. Any ideas what else it could be?
@foulkesbrau30854 жыл бұрын
Hi Kyle, There were two fuses on the board I repaired. If you're blowing F2, you can check the bridge rectifier (D24), the bulk storage and smoothing capacitors (C42, C48). To test the caps properly, I recommend you use an LCR meter. In addition to the FET and fly-back diodes, the gate discharge diode (MELF package D20) and the optocoupled driver (U3) were also blown. If you're blowing the other fuse, then you need to check the switcher and it's associated ancillary components. However, I pretty much doubt that you have a problem in that circuit. Please give us some feedback on how you progress and what you find? Cheers Craig

@@foulkesbrau3085 Hi Craig, Fuse 2 was not blown out. Only Fuse 1 blew. Shortly after posting my last message. I did a quick diode check on all the bridge rectifier pins and it turned out two of the pins had a short circuit. Replaced the bridge rectifier and its back working again. Thanks for the help!

Excellent news Kyle. Glad you were able to find the fault and repair the board.
@ryanmccarthy20332 жыл бұрын
U can keep replacing the components but the cause is a bad belt and or deck. Also u need to lube between belt and deck. If there is too much friction it draws more amperage and takes out your boards.
@foulkesbrau30852 жыл бұрын
Ryan, That is correct - but also bear in mind - the circuit design and component selection is borderline. These things are designed to stuff out after a few years. Cheers Craig

Hi. I have a trojan stamina 315 tredmill. I'm getting power to the switch at the bottom but my lcd is not coming on. Please assist Thanks
@foulkesbrau30853 жыл бұрын
Hi there, You will need to measure a lot more points. Do you get power to the LCD board? Start there. If there’s power, then we can look at other things. If there’s no power - work your way back. Let us know how you come along. Cheers Craig

I bought a 2nd hand treadmill. After using it for about 10 min I notice the control board is hot. Is this normal?
@foulkesbrau30853 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, Hot is subjective. You would need to quantify it for me. Is it too hot to touch? Is it uncomfortable to touch? If the former - that does not sound good. If the latter - not good, but not terrible. I would check that all the ventilation paths are clean and that you don't have dust buildup etc. These designs are not the best and the components are designed to fail with time due to heat. Cheers Craig

My treadmills left functions do not work
@foulkesbrau30853 жыл бұрын
Hi Arbaaz, I would start by checking that the connectors from that side of the treadmill to the control board are making good contact. I would also measure that you do indeed get voltages at the controls on the left side. Cheers Craig

I get E1 on my treadmill 220 please help.
@foulkesbrau30853 жыл бұрын
Hi Ingonyama, E1 has to do withe the speed switch. Either the speed switch signal is not making it back to the board or you may have another issue surrounding that area. Give it a quick google. Best of luck Craig
