It looks like you found a toy box from the 60’s! I was born in ‘61, so am a true child of the 60’s-70’s and many of the items in that toy chest were things that I remember from my childhood! Great find! I am a re-seller and also a collector of vintage 50’s -60’s dolls and toys. The old doll you found looks like a Vogue Baby Dear doll - very popular in the 60s and came in several sizes. I have recently been thinning out my collection, trying to pick my absolute favorites and limit to one cabinet. Everything else I am listing on eBay, since we have been stuck inside. I am right now watching you while I sort through vintage doll clothes I had stored in a closet. I had been putting this task off since I love my old toys. But now is the time to tackle those chores we have been putting off for lack of time. And sending things on to homes who will treasure them. Thanks for keeping me company while we both ‘play’ with our old toys!

Corrected myself that character is Buster Brown! and the Ring Rattle with "water"??? haha Long ago when my children were babies, they had those rattles and yes, even then had the fluid with sparkles or thingys floating in it. The jacks and bag are the best. We use to put our jacks and ball in our tiny little purses so we could play at recess. That was in the fifties! Great memorabilia. The Betty Rubble character, I think, is from the sixties and had Mr. Bubble bubble bath in it. I could not see it that well, but think that may be it.

I had those ballerinas on my birthday cake when I was 5yrs old. ('60's) I think I saved them. Now I have to go find them. That green lid kinda reminds me of a spray soap foam you used for bathtime fun(Also in said '60's). There was a hole in back so you can push down like a spray can and different color soap foam would squirt out. Gosh I haven't thought about that in decades! Fun trip down memory lane.😏

That hair curler I remember. In my teen years my grandmother had a nursing home and one of the "old" ladies asked me to wash and set her hair. I washed her hair in a dishpan if you can imagine and those were the curlers she had. I had to drip each in "Jocur", setting gel. It was like slime. Lol. Made it very hard to do her hair but we made it through and it turned our so pretty . She was very happy. I remember she wire the reddest lipstick I had ever seen. Such a memory that was. Thank yoh!!

I am growing out my hair too. I love how the longer hair softens you’re features, hopefully it is doing the same for mine. I loved getting the Weekly Reader. Those wallets have hidden pockets. I should know I have a red one, that I carried all through high school in the 1960s. Mom used to set my hair in those hair curlers. I still have them. I think that ring was a teething ring and the water is meant to be in there. Moms would freeze them and give them to baby to help soothe the gums. I am surprised the water is still in there.

Some great finds, they reminded me of some of the contents from my toy cupboard at grandma's house (the cupboard is in mom's garage. I was born in 61 and remember paper dolls that you could dress. The little dog with the beaded legs that you pushed underneath, I remember having one snd playing with it for hours. Crayola crayons, love them, they don't change much. I remember having rolls of caps, I would sit on the kerb with my mates snd would bash them with a stone to make them pop. Alas, they are banned over here in the UK now.

That pink plastic fan! 14:42 was part of a set you could make creatures, different legs, arms, antennae, weird toy. The green cap I think was from Crazy Foam and if the whale tail has a screw thing like a bottle top, it might have gone to a bubble bath container. Hiya Renee, what a treasure trove that box had! That looked like “Cracker Jack”, might’ve been a “prize” you got inside a box. 🎶“Candied covered popcorn, peanuts & a prize aaaaand that’s what you get in Cracker Jack”🎶 omg I’ll be singing it all day! “Cooties”! Pretty sure that’s what the red & white toy you connected stuff into was. Loved the paper dolls (I would), the book (fab illustrations, funny how you opened to the🎃😉), that little fan! You can get mould off leather (if the wallets are leather, might work on vinyl but be harder to get smell out) by using good old white vinegar, let dry, give a good drink of leather conditioner. I rehabbed an 80s Coach should bag this way, used some extra dye as it looked dingy, but came out great! I have a bunch of dead stock St. Thomas & an other brand I don’t recall wallets & new I can get decent prices, more if a designer. In my old shop, I sought out & sold OOP, htf, rare vintage & antique books. If they had mould, the way to get it off paper is use slices of old bread & it really works, smell & all! I wonder if there’s some way of getting the mould out of the toy box? Gotta be a KZbin video on it. Have fun w/ your treasures & be well! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️

Paper and Moose - It *is* really weird! I save the ends nobody eats, stick in a bag in the freezer so I always have if needed. Make sure it’s thawed, dry. The other thing that works - but these days good luck finding them🙄- is antibacterial wipes. Very gently so the paper doesn’t get wet or the print smeared, let dry or put towel in between, do next page. One wipe will do an avg sized book! I wouldn’t use on cheap newer books as the paper quality is so thin, old ephemera is much better quality, some even rag paper. Come to think of it, the wipes worked on vtg leather & vinyl shoes about 18 years ago when our basement flooded badly (nearly 2 ft of water, they messed up paving the driveway, no drainage😳, we fixed thank goodness) after a nor’easter. They hadn’t gotten wet, were in original or shoe storage boxes, but damp got in. I noticed it never came back a few weeks ago when doing cleanup after the hot water heater hose flooded partly. Thankful my OOP htf rare books, tarot I need to sell (pronto!) didn’t get damaged! I bet you’d love making paper! It’s fun, you can add stuff like tiny pressed flowers, bits of old lace, metallic threads, vintage fabric scraps, approx anything that’ll lay flat. It makes lovely wrapping paper or personalised stationery & cards, plus its eco-friendly; could see you using your own handcrafted biz cards, that’d be a great trademark for you! J. 😘🧡🎸

I buy and sell linens. Those are 1940s lunch napkins, if they feel find of cool to the touch they are made from real natural linen. Caution: Linen is natural fiber and will just disintegrate in any cleaner/laundry soap that contains bleach (one of the tests us knitters use if the label is missing from yarn, is to put a little piece in bleach. If cotton or synthetic, no effect. If natural (wool, silk, linen), the fiber just falls apart). Safe cleaner on all old tablecloths, etc is the enzyme cleaner BIZ (not Oxyclean, it has bleach in it). Pure linen is a great thing to pickup for selling. Check out prices online. A really pretty set of four luncheon napkins will sell for $20+ (remember it feels cool because it is a hollow fiber, so grab those at the next rummage sale. Cotton is warm, polyester always has pet hair and other things sticking to it (and no one will buy them anyway. Never clean up well. Stains stay).

Wonderful old toy box find . I really like the pink duck , but my favorite was the red earless dog (?) thing that moved when you push the bottom . I love those toys . I would love to see one of those dolls in mint condition (forget her name ) . They always look haggard and well loved when you find them in the wild . Just watched your video where you find the Barbie and Ideal doll too . You 're so blessed : )

All our chalk and Crayolas, also pencils were from Binney & Smith, back in my grammar school days. Being a little "bad boy"...I remember caps and cap guns! Kilgore and Remmington made them. That doll's hair looks like mine upon rising! Fred's wife! I spotted a frog in your coloring book...what color would I make him? For me, your tour in the toy box is a trip to the past for me! Wow...there is a collection of flexible frogs...all is not lost! Even "Frog Furniture"...which I incorporate in my frog scenarios. My mom used those old-style curlers.I wonder what that box would look like stripped of that old green contact paper/fabric...looking at the inside of the lid...could be interesting?

The little boy on the spring looks similar to Buster Brown,, but he had short pants.. Cracker Jack had a sailor boy, usually with a dog by his feet.

15:00 I think that is a lid from "Crazy Foam" It was bath shaving cream-like foam bath soap. I had one that the head was a monkey. In fact I still have mine. Don't know why, but I do.

The little white figure in Cracker Jack....Jack also had a dog. Cracker Jacks box had buttered popcorn and peanuts....about 1960s. Cracker Jacks also had a toy inside the box. Your Toy Box items .......large doll looks to be 1960s..might have a date on the backside. My Dad built for me a wooden toy box like that one in the 1950s painted pink. I had the box thru my junior year in college. When I went out of state I could not take to box with me because the box was heavy so I do not have the box. I hope the box still exists and being of good use to someone. The box was one item I wish I could have kept.

This just appeared in my feed and I realize this is from months ago, but I am pretty sure that sweet little baby doll is the Madame Alexander baby kitten doll from the early 1960s. I still have mine from then. They are collectibles and could be worth something.
