The Chuckie Cheese figure looks great lol. Bendy figures are so late 80s/early 90s.

when I started reselling i started recollecting the original Goosebumps covers cause i had lost my whole set in a storage unit when i was 18.....after 3 years ive only got 1 left to find and its #62. Both of my roomates get all the hand me downs while i upgrade conditions of my set....The set i have is minty...weve prolly bought over 500 Goosebumps books

Duuuuude, 500 books? Crazy. Ever since I kinda began discussing goosebumps, I've discussed with a few viewers and learning about the world of goosebumps collecting. So much I don't know. I lucky found 62 at the thrift. I feel like I had to remind myself these books were mass produced, to prevent buying them online, I'm sure if you keep looking you will eventually find 62. You're a good friend handing down your discarded books. I've joined a few fb groups and maybe you could get a hook up there for 62? Good luck

My friend works at a Value Village, and yesterday he called me and tipped me off that someone had donated the entire set of original Goosebumps books (all 62 of them) and they had just put them out on the shelves. I quickly headed over to his store and bought all of them. I got the "buy 4 books and get 1 free" deal as well, and ended up paying around $100. I know I could have donated something first and got a 20% off coupon...but I was worried someone else would snatch them up before me so I didn't want to waste any time. They get a ton of collectors and resellers always coming in to that store.

Do you have any tips for reducing shipping costs in Canada?
@thriftdweller3 жыл бұрын
That's tough because Canada Post is the cheapest generally I find, but its still pretty pricey and I think a major hindrance to my selling. I try to offer fair shipping, but I feel it intimidates buyers. To get the best price, meaning saving few cents 😞, sign up to Canada Post as a business on their website to get the discounted price. I hear for bigger parcels like over $50 shipping, you might want to look at FedEx or UPS, I hear that might be cheaper for larger items, but I haven't had experience with that. Hope that helps

Nice find on the Goosebumps book! That's one of only two of the original 62 books to never receive a reprint in any way. I wonder why. Nate, are you going for a full set of the original 90s print run, or do you have some of the reprints mixed in?
@thriftdweller3 жыл бұрын
I didn't realize the community for goosebumps collectors until I started announcing on video I was looking for them lol but I'm just collecting the original series, no classics or reprints. No reprint, is that why the price is that high?
@jurassicmatt-canadianresel91753 жыл бұрын
@@thriftdweller Yea, that's why the price is so high for that one. The only other one to NEVER receive a reprint in any way is the last one in the series #62 - Monster Blood IV. Also had the lowest print run being the last in the series. That's another pretty valuable one. Two of the other more valuable ones in the original run are #47 (Legend of the Lost Legend) - that didn't get a reprint in either of the two reprint runs and wasn't made available until it was finally re-released in a "Retro Set" collection in 2017. And #60 (Werewolf Skin) which has never had a PHYSICAL reprint but was re-released digitally (but I mean, these are kids books, so not sure how much that really counts; people want the physical version). Some versions of Werewolf Skin (maybe all printings? not 100% sure) have a paper werewolf mask in the center as an insert you could rip out - if you find a version that still has that in tact it definitely increases the value (check the version you have if you haven't already lol).

I didn't know that books was selling for that much on ebay. My friend is going for the original set as well and he is down to 6. I will keep an eye out for #39 for you. I only collected the first 10 books of the Give Yourself Goosebumps line. I have branched further out and have been collecting the Hall of Horrors and Most Wanted Goosebumps books.
@thriftdweller3 жыл бұрын
I've been researching now because of a few comments, there's a lot of "rare" books in the other goosebumps lines, like goosebumps 2000 or something. I hope I don't fall into another hobby lol
@kmdbaby3 жыл бұрын
@@thriftdweller I don't think I have even come across a Series 2000 book yet. I think I have come across one from the Horror land series which is another line.
