I'm actually glad this version didn't happen. The aired version really hits Blitz harder because Blitz wasn't there and didn't take Stolas's call seriously. It even caused Blitz to track his sister down. But he wasted a week on her and most likely didn't even visit Stolas. 😞

This hits different after the newest episode… as much as I wish that this had been the outcome instead (not the bit with Stella but the bit with Blitzø), I feel like Blitzø needed that eye-opener to show that while Stolas is powerful as hell (hah), he's not invincible. Hopefully now that he realizes that, he'll be better towards Stolas. Maybe he'll even overcome his issues and allow themselves to become more of a thing outside of the “book transaction,” who knows?

with some context from S2 E6, it seems Blitz is under the impression/believes that since he's a lower-class demon, there's NO WAY that someone like stolas could possibly have feelings for a guy like him (maybe even might believe that NOBODY could care for him, tho I dunno for sure on that) he's either so deep in denial or so oblivious that he doesn't YET realize how Stolas really feels for him but i hope they do hash things out between them and they get what they both want, something as happy and healthy as what Fizzaroli and Asmodeous have
