We returned to the farm from last weeks episode where Mark dug his first GOLD COIN. Unfortunately Nighthawkers have been hunted it too. So we wanted to hit it hard. Last time we found open holes and trash left behind. All of these things go against everything we preach and practice. Luckily they missed some great coins and relics. Including a GOLD COIN!! If you're going to enjoy the hobby of metal detecting, DO IT THE CORRECT WAY!! Always obtain permission from the land owner, take trash out with you, and leave no trace behind. You're going to ruin it for everyone. This is a beautiful and historic property. It deserves respect.

Most of the historic sites where I live are extremely off limits to detectorist. I have been able to get a few permissions around old churches and homesteads, unfortunately the closest beach to me is about a 10hr drive. Thanks for the info though 👍🏼

My husband uses his Garrett hunting in the woods and fields but uses the Nox around the rivers and beaches in Charleston. Mineralized soil plays rough on the Garrett AT .

High Minerals are rough on any and all vlf machines. Definitely helps to know the machine and how it reacts to different targets in high minerals. Pulse works best in high minerals. Multi frequency helps slightly over single frequency. All the best!
