Many of the mounting clips used on various panels are usually supplied by third party suppliers. Many times the manufacturers will private label and package these fasteners for Ford. It takes some research to find the original supplier but many still produce the parts. Takes a lot of work to find the parts from these anonymous sources.

Orange denotes a reworked part. So, moving forward, when you see orange, it was a reworked/salvaged part. When you see yellow or blue, it's a torque confirmation after PPAP run at rate etc. Many colors for many different meanings.

You've done so well with the truck cannot believe how much work you get done each week!! Don't burn yourself out! Can't wait to hear what the new project is going to be! You should do an older BMW or an Old Ford Mustang convertible, or perhaps an old Mercedes Cosworth, something like that? Just a thought perhaps see if someone offers a chroming service for plastics it must be possible somehow even though not metal perhaps like sprayed with a metal or zinc primer and then perhaps chromed (wonder if that would work?) I find it interesting that of the guys I follow don’t us torque winches much and do it by feel. You being a trained aircraft mechanic follow the specs, since in that world a wrongly torqued bolt could be fatal.

I know, it seemed brilliant to me too. That is until my long lustrous Covid hairdo began sopping up the gear oil. By the time I was done with diffs and transfer case, my hair looked like it had never been washed. My operation under the truck hardly resembled Sarah's clinical diff filling at all.
