Glad I found these videos. Just started using your mods and absolutely love them. This cleared up so much confusion on the security mod. I thought guards had to patrol to catch outlaws only at the points that were set. I think my biggest complaints now are not enough camera zoom out and clicking on buildings doesn't remember where they were on screen positioning like the book menu.

this is already a great series, this village will look lit. when you got low on wood right before winter you were looking at the fuel in your village and the village center showed 0 fuel i had a thought about it. can you make it that when all ressources are gone from the center that the cart converts to something else, i.e. a small fountain or pavillon, something that fits, i don't know?

Any tips on food production? All the food options seem pretty toothless

Are you using the full modpack? If so and you're using the Seasons mod, you need to invest in as many food sources as possible, or if you don't want to do that, invest in high-value export items so that you can buy food from the traders. I typically have 5-6 food sources up and running by the time my population is over 100 people. Poultry are good (but a little expensive for maintenance). Hunting and berries will carry you for the early game but then decline as you bring on livestock, which are very good for producing meat. Butter and cheese are OK but not as productive. Vegetables are an obvious choice after you have dung being produced from poultry or eggs. Fish if you have them should be a staple. And then farming for wheat and making bread are good when you get the space for them. But really any of the food items is fine as long as you diversify to mitigate the effects of the seasonal weather.

@@BatyushkiDev cheers, I'm finding ducks ponds to be really good for poultry at the moment. Using an egg farm mostly for the dung. But yeah, butter and cheese seems awfully unproductive. I wouldn't mind if cheese had a long prep stage but high yields

@@damikdk yeah I think when I lived there in the 1990s it was similar, I always loved words like this that people would say as exclamations. I've had it as a username forever.
