Was thinking to to myself, "Damn, I wish I was there." up until they started tearing pages of the Bible out... The hardcore scene is about respect, openness, love, and acceptance. I don't care what you write about, that's your own own deal and conviction. But, to destroy something on stage that may have saved someone's life and keeps them going in life is disgusting, especially when some of those very people could, and probably are, in the crowd. Doesn't matter if it's the Bible, Quran, Tipitaka, etc. Disgusting, ignorant, and isolating.

It just lacks integrity. Says a lot about a person. And especially people who are on a platform and preach tolerance and acceptance. Acceptance and tolerance is a two-way street.

I'm not going to get into a theological debate with you, because it's besides the point in this circumstance. The two biggest genocides known to man were fueled by an atheistic agenda and especially the oppression of Christianity and Judaism, so your point is pretty invalid (and I'm not saying that with a Christian-bias, it's literally just history.) All I'm saying is that it was a pretty insensitive to do that, as I said, whether it's a Bible, Quaran, or whatever. Hardcore is indeed about freedom of love and expression, but as soon as your "expression" oppresses and demeans a whole population of people, it's not an expression of love. And I guarantee it was about about making an edgy statement, because Christianity is undeniably (and unjustifiably) a target within the hardcore scene. If they were to get up there and rip up a Quran people would go ape-shit and call them Islmaphobes (do a little research on the Ottoman Empire), even though Christianity is globally the most oppressed religion (ironically the oppression has and is still primarily by Muslims. And I'm not an Islmaphobe, I'm all for refugees and all for their religious freedom, but it would be foolish to overlook history and how it's repeated.) Foundation is free to do whatever the hell they want to do, but to do something like that and not expect to be called out on their bullshit is stupid. I still jam this band, still love their music, this was just a whack-ass thing to do.
