This game reminds me of Banished. They are very similar in how they play. Except Banished is more of a village survival, where you slowly grow the village from nothing into a major city. Then a disease kills a quarter of the population. Then you have a poor harvest followed by a harsh winter, and it becomes a slow death sprial until you have a lone fisherman. Nobody knows what happened to the fisherman, nobody goes to that town anymore, and it is only spoken of in hushed whispers. If this game can give me an experience like that, then I'm sold on it.

this game actually reminds me of Civ City: Rome (with the needs making the civilian better and his house bigger, thus paying more taxes; and also with the organically made roads) and also in some regards, it feels like Cities Skylines (with the residential zones automatically building houses instead of building them yourself) What obviously makes the game unique is the modular building mechanics, basically allowing you to make your own buildings however you want. However, paradoxically, most buildings in the game don't support this modular building mechanic: houses are basically the same, the warehouse, the fisherman's hut etc.

I wish that these games had very very rare occasional monsters that sometimes get disturbed by your endeavours ..like for example ...you mine a mountain.for gold a smaug like dragon comes out and then starts demanding live stock and then the villagers for lunch each week like a unreasonable tax! this cause,s your popularity to diminish and so on if you refuse he attacks with fire to your settlement. thus requiring you to recruit a special knight to deal with the issue , or even another player charges you to borrow one. Then just other one off random stuff like that... maybe some of the wood land requires dark magic spells to be cleansed from it since wood cutters are getting caught up in the roots of living trees that fight back. legendary animals that are very difficult to catch and who,s hides or antlers are highly valued. such stuff makes it far more interesting
