Great review, great wear! Being matte, Is the formula oil-free? (I'm so dry oil-free makes me break out). Also, a little more info on the Bobbi Brown Face Base.

Actually, it's not oil-free. It's actually a "concentration of oils" - that's from their information blurb. So, the Bobbi Brown Vitamin-Enriched Face Base is a great primer for dry skin. What's interesting is that it's marketed towards normal to oily skin, so it's oil-free. But I find it incredibly moisturizing because the base is shea butter. And I like primers that plump up my skin rather than fill in lines and pores.

Thanks! The next time I actually walk into a Sephora (instead of shopping on line) I'll test myself for color. I have great things about Armani on the whole, and have been looking for a new foundation. Will also have to try out the Bobbi Brown.

Have you ever tried a powder type foundation like Bare Minerals? Do you have an opinion about it? I am definitely needing something now that I am in my 40s, to help minimize the dark spots and even out my skin tone a bit but I don't usually like the feeling of foundation. I was thinking of giving Bare Minerals a try. I love your videos by the way, thank you!

+Lorelei Eurto Hi! I am not generally a fan of loose powder foundations because of my dry skin. It tends to make my skin feel and look parched - could be all in my head. The only powder foundation I've had success with is Armani's Luminous Silk Pressed Powder. It gives my skin a satiny finish and really blurs imperfections. If youre concerned wth dark spots though, you'll probably want to correct with a concealer under powder foundation. Hope that helps!

Michele, do you use any cushions or bb/cc creams? My current foundations are GA Luminous Silk and Maestro (labeled as sunscreen but works for me as foundation), though just the other day I decided to give bb cushions another try and bought the Laneige cushion again. My HG was the original YSL touche eclat and I'm sad I haven't anything similar yet.

+Sharon Kresge hi! The only BB cream I've tried is the erborian, and while the shade is ok it's not a great match. A little too pinky. I have on my list to try the Lancôme cushion... I think they have diff ones but I think it's the newer one. I had tried the Loreal cushion when it came out, but that was horrible on my skin. Clung to every bit of texture. Let me know what you think about Laneige. I've only ever tried their lip mask and I like it. Btw, I just got the new Gucci glow foundation and I'm liking it so far. Will put up a review on that too!
