I so appreciate it when people do demos and tutorials with powder foundation these days. I really struggle to get anything else to work for me, so I’ve become kind of obsessed with powder foundation. Not that they’re all great, but a good powder foundation is so much easier and faster! I find that I just don’t have the patience (or energy) for any other formula, unless it’s a special occasion and I want to look especially good in photos or do a slightly more made-up version of my day-to-day look.

Same! I wish more brands had then, L’Oréal true match mineral was my dream! It’s so sad they discontinued the formula!

@@TheMakeupChair I never tried that one. Is the new formula not good? I have used and loved BareMinerals pressed powder foundation for quite a while now, but I just found out I’m allergic to some of its ingredients. I just got the Maybelline long-wear one, and so far so good! I’m really impressed with how many fair shades they have!

Thank you so much for making such a clear and informative tutorial!! This is exactly what I need. I don't typically wear makeup. I used to several years ago but haven't in a while, but I'm getting all new makeup for a special occassion and am using powders. I used to use all liquid, so this is new to me, and this was so helpful and clear!

I recently got back into powders and I don't know why I ever stopped?!?! It's just less fussy and as long as your have a good skin prep, it looks pretty much the same.

@TheMakeupChair I finally tried this foundation trick for my date night. My fiance said I looked very pretty and flawless but still look like my own skin, not fake or caked up. And it's nice to touch too! FYI, he would never touch my face when I wear liquid foundation 😂😂 I love this foundation routine, thank you!!

I am turning 39 next month and I have a 2 year old toddler so, of course I love powder foundation, especially with this warm weather in Guatemala 😅 Thank you so much for the tips, I have to admit that my skin is not the same anymore and I really must try using my powder foundation with a brush! I just realized I have always used the applicator it comes with 🙈 I hate the powdery look I've been getting lately. I will look for a setting spray, for some reason I thought it wasn't needed with powder foundation 🤦🏻‍♀️🙊 Btw, you look amazing! Your voice is so soothing to hear ❤

So glad you like it ❤ try using a brush on one side and your usually sponge on the other and see what you think ☺️ Highly recommend using a spray, it also feels so nice, great if you are feeling tired it’ll wake you up 😉

@@TheMakeupChairthank you so much! I will try doing one side with the sponge and the other side with a brush and then the spray next time I put on makeup. Feeling tired is very common while taking care of a very active toddler so it sounds like I will enjoy using the spray 😅 Have an amazing weekend! ❤

Sineady Cady! You are so cute. You are aging like a fine bottle of the best wine. So pretty. Instead of a setting spray, what do you think of using rose water with glycerin in it? What chemical makes a spray to last? With my dry skin, I just know a spritz after applying my powder products is much needed. I don't use cream bronzer or rouge or highlighter because they disappear into my skin. THANKS!!! You take care..... Denise
