I'm glad I found this, they didn't seem to leave on good terms in the interview he talks about. Ends nicely with him complementing Ricky Gervais, RIP.

Bless him, It really affected him. There’s genuine sadness in his words. Towards the end of him talking could really feel his pain over the situation. Feel like he must of had a troubled soul. The mans a legend. I loved the Larry Sanders as a kid it was the first of its kind that I saw growing up and was always on at a late time for my age. But I never missed it. Bless him. Hope you R.I.P sir.

very interesting interview. I wonder if ricky has seen this, I imagine he would be touched by shandling's kind words towards the end.

rip, I actually loved this interview because I knew both of their senses of humor so well. It was brilliant to watch both of them toss the ball back and forth with the utmost respect for each other. Both are wonderful men on top of being amazing talents.

Actually, I think he's right. It was something and you can't deny it! Awkward, certainly, but different.

Wow, I had watched that interview and was like what the hell?? - this explains what happened there. Thanks for posting this. RIP Garry.

I'm glad I've found him explaining his actions. Brings some reasoning behind his seemingly weird/aggressive behaviour. I tend to believe it was more his guard being too high and getting too defensive when he realised what was going on.

Garry loved the idea talking on an intimate level and getting deep, so he wanted to play with the chemistry and see if it would happen. Gervais being himself, didn't happen.

I loved this piece. The Old Master teaching and showing and playing with the young neophyte. Garry was brilliant. And Gervais, the perfect unwitting Fool.
