At 15:56 he says that storage should be "spun down" on the weekend if no one is using it... what does this mean? This video's title indicates that it's referring to cloud environments: How do you "spindown" a storage account in Azure for the weekend? I checked and there is no such feature in Azure or AWS. Sure, you could deallocate the storage, do you move the data somewhere else until Monday morning??? Where would it go? Later there is the mention of "returning storage to the pool so where not paying for it". This does note seem to reflect how cloud stotage is actually managed and paid for in the cloud. You pay for what you use... there is no need to specifically deallocate storage from a storage account, for example, rather, you simply delete the data if you don't need it. How would a governance policy determine if a storage account in Azure has data that is no longer "needed"? I would be very interested to see how a policy can figure that out. Unfortunately, there are other comments made in this video that seem questionable as well. Happy to be corrected if I am misunderstanding these comments.
