WWI wasn't almost exclusively Europe... Germany banned the export of it's monopoly on Potash in 1910, thinking [and conspiring with Austria] that France and UK couldn't fight without it. By 1911 the US found it's own Potash reserves and by 1917 supplied more than 60% of munitions used in 1918. The Germans were right to finance Lenin's revolution, but the US single handedly reversed the tide. The fighting in Africa and Asia even by colonial powers like NL to its own "colonies" was brutal, killing millions.

@@Potent_Techmology Compared with the military operations taking place in Europe, in addition to comparisons to the Second World War, you could absolutely make the case that it was a war 'almost exclusively' fought in Europe. This isn't to downplay the work and efforts fought by overseas colonies, just pointing to a factual reality.

@@InternationalRelationsAcademy what factual reality exactly then? What % of military operations was it? Funny how you gloss over everything else I wrote. There are no military operations without the raw materials and tier1, 2, and 3 suppliers/factories. Without Yankee potash, we'd be typing in hochdeutsche now and there might be 6 million more Polish Jews alive in 1945.
