Ok I understand your argument but I think when they meant “skill-based”, they were talking about during combat: All of the disasters and weapons (RPG + Tommy gun) you can buy after are annoyances, but are one time use. Yes, I understand the Tommy gun has a 3 mags, and I understand you get like 4 shots with the rpg but at the end of the day, if you can either kill them or make them waste their bullets, it’s gone. And with disasters, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone realistically spam something like nuke or black hole just to get kills. Because otherwise, people usually just leave. Maybe with missile shower but usually anybody who does that gets spam reported, targeted or everybody just leaves. For 2 hit-weapons, while I do agree with your sentiment on how annoying they are and pretty much how op they are on paper with it being basically just a confirmed kill with Kunai, I do not think removing the weapon would make it any better. Besides, yes you can buy/roll and get the weapon and swing it like a maniac, but once people realize all you do is that, what’s gonna stop even a guy with a Bo staff parrying the hell out of you? I’m not saying you must use it and it’s the solution to all your problems but Parry is there to level the playing field. It’s broken and hard to use, but free. D-Day however has game passes that affect combat permanently. If any of the game passes mentioned that appeared in the video all can be used in succession, without cooldown. The bazooka is basically the RPG from combat warriors, but the problem with the bazooka in D-Day and why it’s a lot worse there is because in D-day, there are infinite ammo. RPG has a 4 shot limit so you have to use it carefully, even so the blast radius I’m pretty sure is as much as a grenade. But with Bazooka? Oh it has all the ammo you need, you see that single infantry guy shooting at you? Just blast them. Yes, you could maybe help your team and shoot it at the advancing enemy but nah, there’s one guy shooting at you that you can kill easily. Besides you have inf ammo anyways, reload after and kill them later. And the classes, well are like the gadgets and weapons you could use in combat warriors. Except since D-Day is a game with preset load outs (excluding say the gamepass weapons), you’re only limited to 2-3 weapon selections. So while you can mix and match how you want to fight in CW, you’ve only got 5 loadouts to choose from in D-Day. The other 7? Give massive advantages that they can use over you all the time. Without penalty. While you have to decide whether you want to take an smg and go close quarters or go from afar and take a rifle, little Timmy with his mum’s credit card can buy the gamepass that just gives both of them, making any thought of how you wanna play just redundant. I do not want to discredit your own argument though. I do believe the game is maybe a little too much sprinkled with things to buy (bundles, spin wheel which I can understand p2w sentiment with the gamepasses for that), I do not believe, however, that the game is blatantly pay 2 win, unlike D-Day for the comparison. If there’s anything wrong with my argument, feel free to point them out.

as a person who ground the game for literal hours and got everything in the Loadout shop, oh, I am SOOOOOO damn glad I stopped playing Combat Warriors. even IF you grind for all the super-powerful weapons legitimately, which I made the mistake of doing, even IF there's no one in the server with a tommy gun or RPG, or spamming nukes and airstrikes, and even IF someone doesn't instantly end the round with a black hole, it's still super unfun to play because of all the toxic players and the game's core gameplay practically forcing you to play sweaty to even get anywhere, which leads to getting super worked up and raging. the other dudes in this reply section can say "skill issue" and "parry and dodge" all they like, even if it really _isn't_ pay to win, *_it still isn't a fun game_* , and that objectively still makes the game bad, because the whole point of a game is to have fun.

fun fact the time that gets added after you take a flag is not set to a predetermined amount and adds time based off how low the timer is, I've had it where as axis defending the beach flag we lose it with 3 seconds left on the timer and the timer gets set to 20 minutes, and this is not the worse of it all, if the attacking team takes Mutiple flags in quick succession the time can go to 40+ minutes which has happened to me before while I was defending but when it happened we get pushed back to the last flag and were suppose to defend that for 40 minutes, there's no set limit on how high the timer can go it just depends how fast the attacking team can take flags

Other than the body armor. I feel like they could slightly fix the p2w issue by making everything unlock from leveling up since it doesnt do anything right now other than a name change. You can buy the game pass the fasttrack your way to the gun you want, but other players can level up to get them as well without having to pay money to get them. There could be a level cap and players that reach it unlock the bazooka and maybe the armor.

Still P2W because new player exist and the paid new player still have that +25% survivalability advantage with no downside. In addition, this make the XP boost micro-transaction which is previously for cosmestic purpose only is now P2W because paid player have less effort to put into the game to get those +25 HP while player that don't, they have to spend more time and effort to gain that advantage. And this make the game unbegineerfriendly as new player is obviously have disadvantage against exprienced player and adding a +25 HP to the exprienced player only make it more unfair, especially if the new player is assigned into your team and you litteraly can't control it.

Do you really expect a level 1 should have equal strength against a level 100 in an MMO? Its just progression skipping and it is fine under normal circumstance. Unfortunately in a lot of games the grinding up process is designed in such way that beginners that is not paying is heavily constrained by timegates and being unable to catch those who are paying.

Another thing about D-Day is that 99% of the time the game is tipped on the Allies side, their guns are better, they have the paratrooper, the time is always reset after a flag capture, and you can't even get it back! I have NEVER seen an Axis win in my time playing this game, which is the exact reason why I quit. Edit: I also have a REALLY cool WW1 trench game you should try; it's called "Centaura" It has lore, and it is INSANELY detailed, there is 0 p2w and is not tipped on anyone's side. You should try it out!

I've never played this game, but here's my take from what ive seen in this video: For the bazooka, the devs need to add a 5 second ready time, maybe longer, before it can fire , in order to reduce 1 v 1 cheeses. Maybe add a significant accuracy penalty for firing while moving. Maybe tack on a 1-2 second aiming time where you are immobile before firing. To counteract the penalties, maybe add an increased radius to encourage attacking charging groups of enemies rather than individuals. Basically make it a little more powerful but make it require actual thought before using. Body armor: replace +25 health with -25% damage on body hit. Effectively the same thing except it removes the tanking of headshots.

Grenades: at least one of the free classes should be able to carry a grenade by default for flushing out enemies. If people want to pay for them, give other classes a grenade, and give that class 2-3 grenades. A bit overpowered, but grenades are easier to avoid than rockets. Paratroopers: force Paratroopers to parachute all the way down to the ground, with death being the penalty for cutting free early. Also add a delay before players can spawn from the plane, somewhere between 25% to 50% of the first objective timer. Parachuting in should not be a free ticket behind enemy lines, it should be high risk, high reward, leaving you as a sitting duck until you hit the ground.

I remember playing D-Day quite a bit during the pandemic (especially when Morbius released funnily enough). While the gamepasses made the game unbalanced, you'd still be able to win on skills alone as you'd improve overtime. However, after a while, the player count lowered drastically and most of the active players started having gamepasses, which made the game hell to play in F2P. Pretty sad stuff :(

Us old players or OGs remember it. But now it's different and a lot of people are now abusing it in order to get kills and win. This is frustrating for us OGs because we don't even use these weapons in order to kill enemies, we use f2p weapons. Killing these p2ws who just bought gamepasses are easy nowadays. Back december 2020 I was like 10 and bought all of the passes (I used to be a big history buff) I still am today. But yeah the p2w classes are so stupid like you didn't pay for a class in war you either got them chosen for you or you were an experienced soldier. And the guns are extremely unrealistic. The flamethrower had 3x better range in real life and the devs are so lazy to not even give the guns iron sights in first person. The Bazooka was made to destroy tanks and they don't even put tanks in! And the cooldowns for the bazooka and grenade are super dumb, you reload the bazooka and have a limited supply of grenades. I play this game and I definitely agree it's P2W, but the effect it has on the game is a bit of a variable. If you have one, two, maybe three people with the gamepasses, the overall impact it has on the game is generally negligible. It's when a team has a high amount of these gamepass owners is when the P2W issue especially rears its head. When you have a team that effectively only consists of straight upgrades compared to the other, it's unfair and there's no arguing against that. However, I do think that defeating P2W players is inherently impossible, and still can be done even if it is objectively unfair. Bazooka is still objectively unfair though, without a doubt about it. The amount of 1v1's I've cheesed with it is insane

If you have seen tower battles: battlefront, they have been around for years, and still have a very big active player base, and their only game pass is a 50 robux donation, which I bought because the devs actually care about the experience, while updates are rare they are good and people get very excited to play them, because the game is fair to all players, and all towers are available to get for free.

This game dropped off hard when they made the matches auto end after one side wins/20 minutes or whatever elapse. The game used to be so fun with the infinite duration matches, you could have literal hour long battles over a single point, and then once you finally break through it feels all the more rewarding. Then once you push the enemy all the way back, you can switch teams and start pushing back from the other side.

Just to state how STUPID the engineer was before major updates happened. The engineer was able to basically make a staircase onto tops buildings using barricades (the defensive structure). That shouldn't be accessible (Ex.Village and City) making attacking basically impossible during the time when rounds were infinite and had no end (unless the server ended). Combine that with the mortars (that at the time could automatically fire a round like the bazooka) and them having a bazooka (that could dmg through walls) was basically unfair. So the only real way to ever kill someone basically OUTSIDE THE MAP was either a very skilled mortar man or going up there your self. And most times the place the staircase after the city capture point. The Map update (i'm calling it that because it added a new one). Destroyed that option by adding a timer to matches. But dependent on how far the allies have pushed through they could still do it. And some more stupid stuff is that there was no cap to building (idk if there is one now) so people could make Entire fortresses out of barricades on the objectives. Im unsure now if they patched anything of that manner (probably not). But if they did y'all are really lucky you guys dont have that problem now.

Tried this game out for the first time today played 3 games then left. 1st Game we couldn't reach the objectice as the entire enemy team had snipers and 2 MG gunners. (Omaha Beach Allies) We kept getting sniped from the landing craft even while zig zagging with the boats these guys can magically hit fast moving targets with one shot to the head without missing. Second game i played as the Germans the allies somehow started the march with the beach already captured 10 seconds after the match started. They couldnt take the village and we won. Played as the germans again for game 3 and immediately there is 7 Foreign Aid players pàrachuting onto the objectice and we all died before we could reach the objective. Later on in the same match we kept getting mass spawn killed by 2 level 59 players with extra health game passes and foreign aid again... They won the match 5 minutes after it started because of foreign aid parachute spam. Got so bad to the point where our team had 4 players remaining and they still had 7 players. Oh and i played this on xbox it is very poorly optimized for aiming with a controller. My camera movements were no where near as smooth as yours in the video as the camera kept jerking too far past where i intended to aim, and i was forced to turn down my sensetivity on roblox to make it more tolerable but even with it set to 1 i sti had a difficult time aiming most of my guns. Yeah I'm never touching this game ever again.

It's 'make a profit' or 'the game rolls over & dies' The issue is ... your 'definition' of pay to win is an unwinnable purity test that only passion projects can pass, (take that as you will) and of those projects only those with the right setup and funding can hope to make money off of it via game sales, and cosmetics. --- Guess what you can't do in Roblox... sell access to your game, at least not to any level of success. The thing is, there is no 'fair' p2w descriptor at all, and quite honestly 'free access gaming' is afforded some grace as the developers need to make their living some how, else drop an incredibly expensive in multiple aspects, game that they can not afford to keep up or develop further as it ages. I'm not exactly a fan of f2p, but realistically ... I truly don't think you understand how impactful things are. Though as for the developers...IDK, their just over a barrel on this one. They made a game they found fun, it took off, and its in an ecosystem that itself pushes monetization out the ass (in a platform centered around KIDS), of which the only results are to 'you need to keep up with the live services' which is expensive for developers (Time, money, effort, opportunity costs, etc) and it's pushed onto developers to not squander the rise in your popularity and to capture a core audience. Would you rather they put in lootboxes... for a ww2 game where it's fps & battle reenactments? Like.... I don't think you understand what you're demanding of not only the developers, but those who like the core game. This also isn't like a stand alone game, where on steam it could gain some ground andpeople could come back to it quite often or it can just hit that cult status where it becomes a favorite to play, and you could add DLC that's effectively just meant to tip the developers for all the fun you've had... This is a game that will live & die on a platform where they don't control if the game remains, and is only viable if for a reason it can stay in the roblox algorithm and keep a constant stream of users ... that Also have to be actively captured by the platform (which is ... questionable in regards to kids safety & mental health, even avoiding the troublesome people)

I quit playing the game because of that… I’m just tired of my whole f2p team getting whipped out by ONE single paratrooper guy, spawning as the foreign aid with body amor and the bazooka, obliterating half my team which is fully unaware of that guy cuz they were focused on the battle itself on the beach. Also the fact u mentioned with the paratroopers landing at the cap. point and capping it before the axis even arrive there is another reason why I quitted… Well ngl I like (d) this game, its idea is pretty cool and the sound when you kill someone is just satisfying in my opinion and it can be fun and all… but not like this. These people who bought the whole d-day raiding bundle (the gamepasses I mentioned above somewhere) are also the toxic player too (mostly) claiming they have skill while having one-hit weapons, extra amour and even a whole spawning advantage. I mean there isn’t even any fall damage in this game… if paratroopers get hit they would just un-equip their parachutes, falling 50 meters from the sky. Also the fact that u are able to climb up these things on the bunker is annoying and u can then just camp in that bunker… Its just extremely unfair…

Gamepasses that help the player should help them mildly. Like instead of having paying robux to be unkillable, you should have to pay slightly less to be slightly harder to kill.

Sadly, this is how most, if not all games on roblox. Jailbreak, Mining Inc, and basically any and all simulator games suffered this problem. Anyways, I recommend playing something like Krunker, since it ISNT pay to win and even more fun.

guys if you want to play a good war game go play centaura, it has a bit more of active users. to be honest, if the developers want to make more money instead of using the "least bad" method of winning money (ruining gameplay), they should make a better game with better quality (lets be honest d day looks like a 2018-2019 roblox game, as it doesnt fit well) and instead making the game pay 2 play (or free to play, idk) but if not, the players, seeing that its a good game, should buy it, and only add cosmetics/skins as purchases (because everyone likes using skins nowadays) and some free skins (70/30 free/paid). i will admit, i used to play this game often, my friends told me that it was trash, but i didnt believe them (thankfully i didnt waste money on d day) and as a sightly above average skilled fp/tp shooter, i always got humilated by some random dude with p2w classes. i always thought i was a below average skilled, but playing other shooting games made me realise than im better than what i thought, this would also happen to p2w players, they think they are very skilled d day players and think they have the same skill as a god tier player, but the reality is that they will notice than they are worse than what they thought, without having that bazooka, or those op guns.
